You really can't go wrong staying at a place that hands you your room key and a drink upon check in. The Speakeasy has a bit of everything - historical charm, spacious, clean and quiet rooms (we were in 3B) and helpful, friendly staff. 3B has a nice patio too. The breakfast is Continental, but has enough selection and volume... More

A great place towards the "south" end of Duval. Around 200 different rums, and 3 to 4 great bartenders. They make mixed drinks, but the best is there rums by the shot. There is a blended and aged rum produced at this facility that I truly like. It is 150 proof. A bit over ice is the best, the 2nd... More

We called directly to book since online it was listed as fully booked. I spoke with Barbara, the owner, and the booking went easily. We were lucky and got the room we requested as we had stayed there 2 years ago. We got there after 6, so we went into the Rum Bar and got our keys to our room.... More

We stayed at the Speakeasy Inn for two nights recently. We had room 3B which had two comfortable queen beds, an almost full-size fridge, mini kitchen and enormous bathroom (handicap accessible). It was quiet at night even though there is a rum bar in the front of the building. Of course, we took advantage of the fact that there is... More

I chose to book this B&B based on all of the reviews here and when I called, it was a pleasant surprise to discover that the rates were great compared to neighboring B&B's! It was a completely great experience!!! Breakfast was perfect in the morning - delicious banana nut bread, fruits, eggs, etc.! Super comfy and cozy room. The room... More

The Speakeasy Inn was highly recommended to me, and justly so. The hospitality began, even before arrival, during the reservation process, as I had to change my dates. Everyone there is friendly and helpful, and makes every effort to assure a comfortable stay. The continental breakfast was much more than expected, with options for everyone, including delicious homemade coffee cake... More

I can't say enough about the Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar. This was my 4th year in a row staying there while visiting Key West. From the second you arrive till the second you leave their staff is absolutely attentive. Chocolates on your pillow, water bottles in your room, $1 off every drink, and a great breakfast. I haven't had... More

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast but after checking out the over priced hotels in Key West we decided to try one! It was a great experience and we would definitely recommend this place!!! It was exceptionally clean and everything in the rooms was high quality. The price was great and the people where great! The rum... More

Spent three nights at the Speakeasy Inn with my wife and two other couples. None of us had been to Key West before and the staff at the Speakeasy was great and helpful pointing out all the highlights of Key West and places to see. The rooms where excellent and the rum bar had a breakfast every morning with home... More

We were spoiled! It starts with chocolate on our pillows...cold bottles of water in the refrigerator...two free painkiller rum cocktails...a fantastic continental breakfast with homemade almond cake, fresh fruits, meat, eggs, cheese..on and on. Loved the atmosphere...sitting on the porch watching people walk by while you drink coffee or have a hurricane. Rooms spotless, bed comfortable. On top of it... More
