We had a very bad experience with a guest house and were upset with our accomodations there. Our children have stayed at the Orchid Key Inn for a few years and happened to be there at this same time but had no vacancy when we were initially looking for places. Well upon hearing our situation Kim at the Orchid Key... More

We stayed two nights at the Orchid because of its location. What a nice place to stay! The room was top notch! Although, there wasn't a chair to sit on, but then there wasn't time for sitting around. The property is very clean, comfortable, well maintained updated facility. The breakfast was top notch with very helpful staff and a wide... More

I stayed at the Orchid because of the high rating by Trip Advisor and its location. I was not disappointed. As a retired developer, I was very impressed by the care taken in turning this 1950's style motel into a first class resort. From the soft beds to the soft landscaping, they have thought of everything. The front desk staff... More

When we pulled up the first time, we were not entirely convinced. But we were pleasantly surprised! The property is small, but cosy and well maintained. Staff were very friendly and great at making recommendations. Our room was modern and very clean - the a/c and free wifi were most welcome. Bathroom small, but modern and well equipped. We relaxed... Couldn't have been more comfortable in this stylish and spotless room. Lovely pool and surroundings. Super friendly and helpful staff points you to the best things to do. Perfect location - just enough away from the craziness, but close enough to walk everywhere. Would definitely return to the Orchid Key Inn.

Orchid Key was recommended by a friend who has stayed here 3 times. It is perfect in many ways! Location is ideal because you are on Duval, but it is just far enough away from the night life. The rooms are very clean and don't have that stuffy "hotel" feel. The linens, pillows, shower were all so comfortable as well!... More

We spent a lovely two days in Key West at the Orchid Key Inn. It is centrally located - we didn't move our car from the parking lot while we were there! (There is a fee for use of the parking lot.) The room, although small, was lovely and the large spa-like shower was terrific. The pool area was very... More

We stayed here for a long weekend-January 31-February 3. First- you couldn't ask for a better location! It is located where Truman meets Duval street so you are close to everything. Don't worry about the Duval noise- you are on the quieter end (not too far from Southernmost Point) and the inn itself is pretty soundproof between good windows, a... More

We highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff is first-rate, especially Kim. It is located in a perfect spot, in between the Southernmost Point and the Pier on Duval St. Don't worry about the noise, we couldn't hear any once in our room. The breakfast, pool and hot tub are real perks.

Before the Interstates, in the heyday of Route 66, jailbirds and deadbeats, runaways , itinerant preachers and adulterers, Wily Loman and the Fuller Brushman holed up in these one-story, concrete-block strips known as motels and less humbly, motor lodges. Little differentiated them beyond the patch of red neon script that said “vacancy” or “full.” Key West had these places. One... More
