We got married on the beach in Key West last summer and stayed here for the week. We stayed in the Cigar House and loved our room, it was more like a small apartment with a kitchen, living room, and balcony over looking the pool. We were able to walk almost everywhere. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The walkways were surrounded by tropical plants and flowers and seemed like a quiet, perfect retreat. This is a very attractive hotel in lovely gardens but underneath the apparent laid back atmosphere is an uptight feel. For that reason I wouldn't recommend taking children. We felt very inhibited with ours and despite the fact they are generally well behaved and pretty nice kids we were on edge the whole time. The breakfast is poor. more
