Hubby and I stayed at the Best Western Hibiscus for 7 days and it was a very nice and clean hotel room, overlooking the pool. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only negative in the entire stay was the toilet in our bathroom - you had to hold the handle down the entire time to get it to... more

Nice hotel, quiet area of town. Rooms were clean. Pool view room on second floor was very nice. Continental breakfast was fast and easy. Nothing special, just good. Toaster bagels and waffles, coffee, juice and milk. Free internet in lobby, 2 desk top machines. Pool was big and clean. A few good restaurants were close by. I would recommend El... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hibiscus June 14th - June 17th. We arrived at about 1PM and was told that the room was not ready. We had booked a AAA rate of $89 per night. The front desk person asked for our AAA card and we did not have it. We didn't really think about bringing it as... more

We stayed at the Best Western Hibiscus for 4 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. No problems checking in or out (even though we arrived after 8pm on our first night), plenty of parking, great pool, pretty good room. The only real room complaint we had was a water faucet that would turn on kind of strong, but it wasn't a... more

We had a great stay in Key West. The room was clean and large wit 2 sinks and plenty of towels. The bed was very comfy. Our breakfast was good. The staff were very nice. The pool was very pretty. I chose the hotel because of other reviews. They were right about how nice it was. We parked the car... more

we stayed one night, hotel was full only because of the swine flu scare in Mexico. I called the front desk about 7:30 and asked for some fresh towels. The witch on the phone refused ,said "if you want towels come up to the desk and get them" I said you dont have anyone to bring to my room at... more

Management response from

When guest called for towels there was one clerk on duty and she could not leave the office. She politely explained this to guest who then became outraged. Guest treated clerk poorly even though clerk continued to try to assist. We are sorry the guest felt the service was poor however we feel it was inappropriate for her to attempt...

A friend and I started our Florida vacation in Amelia Island working our way to Saint Augustine, Miami, Key West and finally Jacksonville to return home. All our stays were at Best Western properties. The Hibiscus Motel was the best we stayed in large room 112 with two queen beds, two comfy chairs and a coffee table, fridge and microwave... more

For value and convenience of location, I was pretty sure I had made a good choice for the four of us (husband and two daughters). But upon arrival, I found many other wonderful "perks" at the Hibiscus. We got a room on the second floor right above the lobby (Room 232, I think), which had a large deck with two... more

The front dest was incredibly helpful with finding us a quiet room. The breakfast was cereal or bagels, instant waffles or toast, typical continental. They have a nice pool area, and it was exceptionally clean. It's in a quiet area of town away from a lot of the noise of Duval street but still only a couple blocks away from... more
