The best part of the experience at Merlin house is the two women in the office! Totally welcoming and hard working. (They try very very hard; but have limited resources to work with) That being said, if you need a place to sleep for a couple of nights it will do. The air conditioning is loud; the windows in our... I'm sure Linda and Lee will very much enjoy knowing that you were happy with the friendly service they provided you with. All stays at the Merlin Guesthouse include a complimentary continental breakfast for guests who wish to partake of it. Items offered daily typically include two types of yogurt, croissants delivered freshly every day from a local bakery, four... More

My wife and I come down to key west once a year and we loved our first visit to Merlin Guesthouse. Location is perfect and the room had a great historic feel. The patio and pool area made you feel like you were in paradise. Can't wait to come back!

We didn't stay because I didn't like the location having to park on a side street and when I saw the pool...I mean pond, for the price. No not happening. Cancelled and got a refund and went to Marriott...much better. Referral was from the key west welcome centre and I think that they get a commission, the guy at the... More

We're sorry you didn't stay with us, but I'm confused about whether your review even pertains to the Merlin Guesthouse? You mention a different property we're not affiliated with, The Ambrosia, which is a B&B establishment in Key West. More

We were on a fixed itinerary, coming off a Caribbean cruise which coincided with a local festival - the Conch Republic festival and 7 mile bridge marathon. Everything in our normal price range was booked already so we went up a step to a historical small hotel, just one block from the action on Duval St - the centre of... More

My wife and I wanted to get away before our second baby comes in July, and we could not have been happier with the Merlin guesthouse. We stayed in a king bedroom suite (room 11) and it was wonderful. There was an L-shaped leather sectional in the room. The bed was a little stiffer than I'd prefer, but my wife... More

This guesthouse is a great place to stay while enjoying Key West. There is a wide variety of rooms. We stayed in one of the small rooms on the front porch. It was very clean and neat. There is a heated soaker pool which was heavenly after walking Duval Street. The location is close to Duval St and they have... More

Did not book but not a problem with getting a room. The owner was very friendly and when he showed us the room, there was no way were we not staying here. It was like a 1 bedroom flat with a living room, raised bed area and bathroom all very well equipped. The outside decking area and large Jacuzzi pool,... More

Great Little Hideaway!!! This place was close to Duval, but far enough as to not hear the noise of Duval!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was well kept, clean and modern. Will definitely stay here again!!

We recently spent 6 days in Key West and stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse. Now this place is NOT poshy fancy BUT in every way was even better than that... the courtyard is very sweet shady and tropical and we spent a few late nights having a nightcap there just soaking up the nice weather trying hard not to let...
