Made a reservation online for a stop over to Key West. Arrived about 9:30 pm. Security guard checked us in--he was very nice. Got to room--mosquitoes (about 5) flew at our faces and the room was the most disgusting place I have ever seen! Left immediately! Not sleeping with bugs!! Got security guard and told him we wanted a refund... More

Was just there a few days ago for the first time. The tiki bar is absolutely top shelf, just don't stay the night there at their motel. the room quite seriously matches some of the worst rooms I've stayed in over 40 years of traveling. Bathroom is simply disgusting, dirty, mold, chipping paint, no wash towels and a shower floor... More

We and friends brought our pups to Gilbert's for a weekend getaway. Gilbert's is pet friendly, but we were disappointed that there isn't any grassy area nearby for walking and playing with the dogs. Up by the highway is the only place to take them. The rooms are old and haven't been updated in years other than paint in the... More

The place is so so nasty. Website is very deceiving. The rooms are so dirty. The tiles in the bathroom are painted over and chipping. Paint hiding the dirt and mold. The bed is made of wood and broken springs. BE AWARE they will charge you for your room when you get there and when you want to take off... More

This is the most disgusting place I've ever been to. Rooms are a total mess, beds are broken, the beds smell like if the haven't been washed in 300 years. The bathroom is also very nasty: the shower has moist all around it, which is very very unpleasant to see. The service is very bad, every employee was very rude... More

No value in this fish camp. Motel rooms are disgusting, bug infested. Tiles and paint are chipped through out the room and bathroom. All of the furniture is out dated and broken. Smelly room in need of a detail clean. The once over isn't cutting it for cleanliness. You wont be able to swim since that to is poorly upkept.

I did not stay at Gilbert's so I cannot comment on that but we ate lunch at the tiki bar two times during our trip to the keys. Food was great(keep in mind bar food, not fine dining)and the atmosphere was awesome just what you would imagine in the keys-dining right on the dock next to crystal Clare blue water. Beautiful... While on our way to Marathon, we stopped here for a bite to eat, as we try to avoid chain/fast food restaurants. The tiki bar was huge with a great view. My wife had the clam chowder and it was excellent. I had the beef kabobs and they were good. After my meal, I visited the mens room and HOLY... More

We went there for my birthday celebration because everyone from Miami likes a ride down to the Keys. About 25 of my friends joined us for the day as well as my teenage daughter and her best friend. We decided to spend the night as we knew we would be consuming a lot of adult beverages. The accommodations were fair,... More
