This eclectic group of small buildings is tied together by a pastel Florida color scheme and a lovely tropical garden. It is on Highway 1, but the buildings are set so far back from the road that you would never know it. Look sharp, though, or you may miss the sign. A small sandy beach on Florida Bay allows for... Coconut Bay Resort was more than we could have hoped for in a vacation spot! The beach setting could not have been more relaxing and our one-bedroom suite was perfect! The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was much appreciated and their homemade goodies for breakfast were always delicious. Our unit was spotless as were the grounds and we took... More

We were looking for this place based on the great reviews here on TripAdvisor plus the review in Fodor's. We drove by it once as it's very tucked away and affiliated with the Bay Harbor Lodge. Debbie, at reception, was so friendly and welcoming I felt like we'd known each other for years. She searched to find me the room... More

We were hoping to find a little get away when we visited Key Largo after finishing a Caribbean cruise. After checking a couple of recommended accommodations, we ventured out on our own to find the "right place". Set back from the main highway and on the bay side of the water, we were warmly welcomed and showed 3 rooms available.... More

We enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful. The cottages are clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. A problem we had with a light and shower head was quickly resolved. The use of the kayaks was a nice bonus. We enjoyed sitting out at night under the tiki huts near the water. There were Ibis and friendly squirrels.

the accomidations were great, everything was clean, loved the kitchen and dining area. the site beach area was not sandy, and we definitly didnt swim at the "beach". when using the kayaks, we found alot of limitations, curfew...sunset, also more info on the manatees and when they hit that part of the ocean would have been helpful as we missed... The hotel rules/ regulations on the contract we signed did not mention to pay for a dog. I just knew it was a dog friendly place. I also have a badge for my service dog so I knew I wouldnt have any problems to have my 8lb doggie. The next morning, I was approached by the office manager asking me... More

My friend and I stayed here for one night because we volunteered at the Mammal Marine Conservancy to help the whales. The resort was perfect! The grounds are clean, the beach area is wonderful and the staff was very nice. Our room was not very big but we didn't spend much time in it so that didn't matter. After going... More

Stayed for three nights, and had lots of fun. Relatively close to several good restaurants and many activities. I went snorkeling at John Pennekamp and it was nice but beware of jellyfish. Room 22 was quite small but nice. Pool was wonderfully warm and kayaks were at our disposal. Didn't see any manatees though. Employees were kind. I would stay... More

First of all, many thanks to everyone who posted reviews of this resort, as they really influenced our choice to stay here. We absolutely loved this resort! Exceptionally friendly staff and owner. Based on a previous review, we opted for a Junior Suite since we were staying a full week. A little pricey, but everything down here is. Great choice!... More
