This is a place for people who have loads of money... And wanting to spend a lot of it. It is a gorgeous place though. The pool area is really nice and has a lot for kids to do. However the drinks and food are really expensive. Resort members have their expensive homes and boats all around. Dress codes are... More

High end resort with membership requirements. The smell of money is everywhere.. Which also means jacked up prices for drinks, food, and other services. If you don't mind forking out the extra money, this place is great. Quietly tucked away on 2500 acres of beautifully landscaped Florida real estate, it's quiet and relaxing. Several heated pools and access to ocean... More

We spent a few days here, while my husband was attending the Jaguar Driving Performance Class at Homestead Speedway. The rooms, the grounds, the amenities, the staff, the restaurants were all first class, without being pretentious in any way. Our room was large, airy, well appointed, with a balcony overlooking the ocean, The bath was large, and beautifully tiled and... More

It really depends on where you stay. They rent out private condos, but also have the hotel portion. It is a private club and pretty old school in certain ways. This is a typical South Florida gated community. You kind of feel like you are in a Golden Girls episode from the decor in the lobby and certain areas. It's... More

Our stay at the Ocean Reef Club was a real pleasure. Our visit was excellent from start to finish. Our 1 bedroom suite was very clean and relaxing. The staff is fantastic and so was the food at The Islander was excellent you must visit all the eateries since we were never disappointed. Visit if you can its truly an... More

This is a club. For billionaires. Do not book a room and think it will be a luxurious resort if you are an "outsider." Book elsewhere for a regular Florida resort for normal people. And on top of it all, the facilities are lacking. Looks like a tattered Disney World/spring break condo hotel -- but for the ultra-rich. A very... More

We have been here many times and the property is always perfect. As soon as we go through the gated entrance we feel relaxed. It's hard to find a more impressive marina--it's world class. If you host a meeting, the banquet food is second to none. This is a private resort with 1700 homeowners, and rentals of a hotel room... More

I only visited as a guest and although the property is absolutely beautiful, I did not have a good time. First off, I found some of the residents and staff I encountered to be stuck up snobs. Ocean Reef is completely self contained with everything from entertainment, to groceries, to dining, to shopping, so it is a good place for... More

Beautiful resort. The Inn for the non-resident visitors ok overall...but price is high for quality. Mini bar fridge very dated. The resort staff are all very polite and helpful. Food options are at a minimum for dinner unless you drive or walk to fishing village. The Islander Restaurant was delicious, although reservations needed and a bit pricey. Service was well-intentioned... More

We stayed the weekend and had a great and relaxing time. Nice, modern and CLEAN rooms. Great pool and Lagoon. Rent a golf cart and explore. Our young kids really enjoyed the Kids Club as well. Highly recommend.
