Small, personal, and comfortable stay. Margo and John are great! If you are expecting the Marriott, then go to the Marriott, this place is not for you. It is the best place to get some rest after a busy day exploring the beautiful Keys.

We just got back to Northern NY after a 3 week trip to Florida. Of course it was great to escape this long and miserable winter, but the highlight of our time down south was our 4 nights at the Bay Cove Motel. It's an older place, and not a bit fancy, but it was exactly what we were looking... More

My sister, niece and I recently stayed in 2 cottages at Bay Cove. Although the cottages show their age without question, they are also very clean and neat and contain the basics. Do be aware that, much like other modest motels in the Keys, there is no heat! It was 42 degrees our first night but Margo gladly provided extra... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Bay Cove Motel during our 2nd trip to the keys. We stayed in room 2 which was cheaper than some of the other rooms. The traffic can be loud from the room but cannot be heard if you put the A/C on. The room was clean and had a microwave, toaster and fridge,... More

I really wish I could give place a higher rating. It’s an older complex with 2-3 units per building. Quiet away from the highway, with a private beach and dock. Great location! The owner/manager is friendly and helpful; his recommendations for places to see, things to do, and restaurants to eat were all good. It was an economical place to... More

The Bay Cove Motel was exactly as I had read in the Trip Advisor reviews. Maybe a little outdated but very charming & cozy. With a kitchenette, beach access & General Manager John, we had all we needed for a very relaxing vacation. On Super Bowl Sunday, John invited us to an impromptu gathering at their outdoor patio. He &... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in the studio flat which we found very clean and comfortable with amazing views of the sea. The balcony outside was a real bonus. The bed comfortable and bathroom with shower worked well. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. In summary, an excellent find as per the other recommendations. John provides a really... This motel was a little outdated, but still very charming and the area had a good feeling. Also the manager John was EXTREMELY friendly and personable. Rare these days to get such genuinely good customer service!

We stayed in a small quaint cottage and found it very comfortable and clean. I'd liked being able to park right in front of my room. There are several decent restaurants in walking distance. It is the quintessential 1950's mom and pop resort. The grounds are very private. The manager/host (John) was charming and accommodating. They have a darling beach... More
