Six of us just spent the weekend here celebrating "Life's Gifts." How fitting that this setting provided us the perfect atmosphere! It was everything we hoped for. We stayed in 7 & 8 which gave us privacy and also the opportunity to come together as a group. The grounds were inviting - we spent every morning and every evening by... More

Six of us enjoyed sharing cottages 7 and 8. This is a great way to share common living space with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The water is just steps from the door. We loved watching beautiful sunsets and dolphins playing in the water. Mornings with coffee at the waters edge gave us inspiration for the day ahead. Loved our stay.... More

The Rock Reef provided just the type of stay we were looking for. When we travel we like to stay in smaller, non-chain, style lodging. We are not looking for high end amenities like chocolate on our pillows and turn down service. We like low key places with friendly staff and clean rooms with some character. This place was just... A little funky in a good way. Not for everyone, however, if you like the homey feel of a mom and pop old school hotel it is for you. Great on water location. Hammocks strung in the garden and a nice pier with boat slips. Great sunset views.

Ideal hotel for any party looking to take in and explore the upper keys. This is not an all-inclusive, luxury resort. The property is very comfortable and enjoys an excellent "keys-style" beach. There are certain beach-front bungalows and non-beach motel-style, multi-bed units. There is no food/beverage room service, bars or restaurants on the property, but there are plenty of walking... OMG!!! Last weekend we took a quick trip to the keys with the children and I was very impressed with this spot. We booked two rooms, four beds for a great rate and I was skeptical but after speaking to Deborah over the phone I went with my gut and booked the weekend. The pictures online are beautiful but do... This is old school motel. Very clean and nice. The beach area and tiki hut is great. Loved the sunset on the lounge chairs. We had an upstairs unit and faced the highway. If you like old this is great.

Have been there already 2 times, enjoyed the wonderful quietness and the private beach where it is possible to listen to the nature and to the sea. There are no jelling around drunk spring breakers and the stay there was wonderfully relaxing. The owners family is extremly helpful giving information and tries to solve every request of the guests.

absolutely wonderful. Linda is the owner and she bends over backwards to make you comfortable. On the water with private beach and hammocks everywhere. Restaurant directly across the street, ballyhoos all you can eat crap 36.00 dollars. The parrot here at the hotel is named bogey, its been here for years.
