Whenever possible, I prefer to stay at smaller hotels. On paper, it seems fabulous but in reality, it's just ok. I stayed in the garden room, which is very spacious and comfortable. Easily located at MM 104 off of RT. 1, Azul del Mar is a great find. The rooms were very clean and modern, the staff friendly and the location beautiful. We stayed for 4 nights in the Aquamarina deluxe ocean view room. Our stay was excellent. The room is spacious. The bed is huge and very comfortable. The dvd library has a good selection of new films. The staff are helpful but not intrusive. The recommended restaurants were spot on! Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend it... more
