Oh well, we haven't stayed there, but were planning to. Now here's the situation: Their website and some booking sites list 1 double room available for the time we'll be in the keys in 2 weeks. They show a map of their rooms locations and the rooms got names, looks fine. But the available room is only listed as "Standard... More

Loved this place! Friendly and helpful reception, cute brightly painted cottages, clean and tidy and perfectly adequate continental breakfast under a lovely cool palapa. Beautiful views across the bay from the jetty and dock or from Snook's patio bar! Would definitely come back!!

The Pelican is the way the Keys are meant to be. Laid back, peaceful, beautiful and friendly. The sunsets on the dock are priceless. Kayaking is a must! You might get lucky and enjoy a manatee cruising by. This is my third time staying and can't wait to get back. The cottages have everything you need. This is not a... More

This place is small and the rooms are typical Key West laided back feel. There is no beach at this location on the bayside. Yet is relaxing and chill, not bad. They have a boat ramp and free kayak useage.

We booked a last minute trip through expedia since we are Keys rats. The "room" costed about 200.00 between room and taxes just to arrive and find a closet with a tiny bathroom. No place to put your stuff, just a bed between two walls, a tv and the bathroom. We got the banana room, they are "numbered" by names,... More

Stayed here for a week with my wife. Room was small but it was not a big deal because we were rarely ever there except to sleep. Great prices and very friendly staff. They have free boat access, an amazing view of the sunset. Also have free equipment rental. Highly recommend

Luxury? No! Enjoyable, economical, small, old fashioned "fish camp" style resort? Oh, yeah! Very basic rooms (Tiny TVs - Are you here to watch TV?) but clean. No pool, but bay is right here. Two very nice docks on a lovely bay! Kayaks (free) available. I find this a great place to stop on my way to Key West! I... More

Walking into our cottage (Marlin Room) it was roasting from the lack of AC that had not been turned on. The floors were filthy, the "stocked" kitchen had a few miserable utensils and plates. The oven was missing it's handle for crying out loud. The dishes had to be washed before use regardless of the note that annotated they had... More

The Pelican is a very small, but very quaint get away, close to Miami. Very typical "Keys" motif - each unit has a unique name (Parrot Head, The Dolphin, etc.) It is an older hotel, and the rooms are not huge, but are clean, and doesn't have a musty smell at all. Most rooms have 2 double beds, a small... More

We stopped here for a night with friends on our way to Key West. It reminded me of places I stayed in as a kid before we could afford nice hotels, but really it was just right and well priced. We stayed in the Conch room. Very clean bathroom. A/C worked fine and the shower was great. Bring your own... More
