The grounds and dock are pleasant enough, but the rooms were small, overpriced and shabby. The furniture in the room was cheap, including the bathroom fixtures and bed. Some of the outdoor chairs were old, unsteady and difficult to use. The breakfast area was full of mosquitoes and the continental breakfast was as lean as they come. They charged about... more

Me and my friend stayed in the Heliconia room, which is the smallest room available. Even though it was really small (the room is mainly just the bed :)), it was also very clean with much appreciated A/C unit. The room also has a little fridge and microwave in a corner + TV. This was more than sufficient for us,... more

We stayed here on our last night of a trip to the Florida Keys. We'd spent 3 days at a guest house in Key West and decided we weren't ready to leave yet and we wanted to drive up the Keys. We found this place online, we were basically just looking for cheap. We booked the cheapest room, the rooms... more

I stayed in the Dolphin Room which is a waterfront suite. There were 6 of us so it was very snug, but it was a blast. There was a great screened in porch where we watched the sunset and had cocktails and appetizers. We hung out on the dock all day while we swam and threw out a line. The... more

Disgusted. My husband and I had to cancel our reservation 5 days in advance because he was laid off and we couldn't afford to go. Imagine my surprise when I called and the front desk told me there would be a $30.00 charge anyway. When I asked what this charge was for I was told they had had to prepare... more

We stayed here for four days and found the little cottages exceptionally clean. Much cleaner than the 4 star hotel we stayed at earlier in the week. It was a one bedroom w/bath. The initial staff was very friendly and nice but the woman I had at checkout seemed annoyed and brief. This place is literally on the water. It... more

We stayed here for one night in one of the cheapest rooms, but not the cheapest. We've been traveling around Florida for two weeks on a $110-130 night, and this was the only place where I felt a little short changed. Its a little bit rundown and shabby, but the location is good, and the dock is really nice, as... more

cute cottage. was initially concerned about couple next door - could hear the tv and conversation, but luckily, they were quiet during the night. the room was large, beds were comfortable. the promised internet connection didn't work. also, son was looking forward to free usuage of a boat but by the time we arrived and inquired, we were told it... more

$111 double with shower and small breakfast. Good motel with smallish rooms in a good location and its own waterfront. Free use of canoes and pedalos. Good value. more

We really enjoyed staying at the Pelican the first 2 nights ,as they had overbooked and had to put us in a waterfront 1 bedroom with kitchen and private porch unfortunately we had to move to the Bannana room for our last night. It measured 7x 10 a double bed with a fridge jammed right next to the bed and... more
