We're pretty sure Suzan was drunk when we arrived. She yelled instead of spoke and commenced screaming when she was directing our large RV into the just-barely-the-right-size site. All the other RVs were permanent residents, and none looked too happy about it. The 'beach' is an old pontoon boat Suzan covered in sand. We sat there in the fading twilight... More

We visited on a Monday and we were the only non resident campers. The campground is small but it was cozy. We took a bhai oat ride in one of the free boats towards the gulf. Just clearing the bridge we seen a small southern stingray and were followed by a school of gar and other fish. We also seen... More

The positive reviews HAVE to be written by Suzan or friends of hers. We normally come down from Minnesota to the Keys in the winter, but weren't going to this year. My husband decided last minute that he didn't want to skip this year and started calling around to rent a camper/trailer/park model, but everywhere was full. Last ditch effort... More

While visiting Tom and Susan were extremely helpful and even upgraded our tent to our a better location and they even upgraded my parents to an RV so they would have some privacy. They care so much about the RV/Tenters. I will be coming back for sure!

We pitched a tent for 3 nights at this very unique site. We had a blast here. In fact, out of our entire two week camping adventure throughout the keys, this was our favorite spot. And, believe me, we stayed at numerous campgrounds of all different shapes, sizes and organizations. Why did we love Pelican Cay so much? Firs off,... More

We had a total of twelve people celebrating a 30th Birthday and we had an awesome time. Suzanne was so accommodating and made us so comfortable. Although there was only one shower, the water was hot and we never waited to long. The views of the water are incredible. The canoe trip was amazing and just sitting and relaxing with... More

A modest, but very convenient campground for tents, pop-ups and small RV’s. Space is very tight here and there is not much room to maneuver larger RV’s. Convenient to Key Largo (6 miles away). If all you need is a convenient place to park your tent/rv and go fishing/diving in the Keys, this place will work just fine. Don’t expect... More

Was 6 of us . 3 in a house boat and 3 on a site. loved the location of the campgrounds and general location to all of the keys and beautiful homestead farmland. Suzan was so very accomadating with everything we needed and things to go see. had some great neighbors.Jamie and Johnny. You do need an open mind and... More

If this is the last place in America with an opening then just keep on driving. The "park" is a junkyard full of old BBQ grills, abandoned rv's from the 60's and various flotsam from outer space. Others here have described the owner as quirky. That's the kindest word possible. "Rehab ready" might be another way to describe. Rude, aggressive... More

This place is very relaxed, quirky and unique. If you're looking for luxury accommodations, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a relaxing and authentic FL keys hideaway, this is your place! We rented a houseboat for a week, enjoyed full use of Suzan's canoes, fishing poles/nets, grill...she pretty much has everything you'll need. The harbor... More
