Our stay at Kona Kai was wonderful - tranquil, relaxed, beautiful! We felt completely welcomed & at home. Loved taking out the paddle boat and walking through the gardens. After having a very disappointing experience at Cheeca, we were so thankful to check in to Kona Kai. I wish we had spent our entire stay in the Keys here! Friendly... More

STOP your search for a hotel if you are going to the Keys, because Kona Kai should be your choice if you seek a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting. Though it is a small grouping of cottages they have everything you could need, from free use of kayaks and a paddleboat to high end toiletries and wine glasses. The... More

Rom the moment we walked into the reception of this most tranquil and beautiful retreat we felt totally relaxed. Tracey our host made us feel as if we were the only people staying at this wonderful place and took the time to run through everything at the resort, she showed us around the whole complex and made us feel so... Despite being literally a driveway off the US1 we couldn't believe how tranquil and restful this place is. You can hear the hum of traffic but it does not detract from the stunning location of these properties. We stayed in Sugar Apple (which does not have a fully fitted kitchen) but we asked for plates and cutlery which were provided... More

I am only home from Afghanistan 30 days and then I have to return. My wife and I needed some serious downtime to be able to relax together. The place my wife had found originally within arriving there we knew was a mistake so we looked for another place and found the Kona Kai Resort. This Place was wonderful from... More

Kona Kai is a perfect gem of a place to stay in Key Largo. Charming little cottages right on the water. You are surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden. While the cottages are a little pricey, you get a lot. The cottages include equipped kitchens in case you don't want to go out for every meal. The resort has tennis... More

WOW!!!! My boyfriend and I were winging our last couple days in Florida after our Key West vacation....we literally found Kona Kai on yelp after having a cocktail at Snooks Bar and Grille. Not only was Tracy just wonderful but her customer service was phenomenal. This is literally a slice of heaven. The attention to detail is amazing, the simplicity... More

We sought a respite from our hectic Jersey jobs and found utopia here. We had the pleasure of spending two glorious nights in the fully equipped banana suite stocked with cds of island tunes to help us fall into a restful slumber after a fully packed day of endless activities on property or nearby. On the second night we grabbed... More

If you are looking for a place of quiet beauty to recharge your batteries, this is the place to go. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the botanical specimens add an extra dynamic that you wouldn't find in your standard resort. There's no beach to speak of but a floating dock gives you access to bay side swimming and the heated...
