Kona Kai is a perfect gem of a place to stay in Key Largo. Charming little cottages right on the water. You are surrounded by a beautiful botanical garden. While the cottages are a little pricey, you get a lot. The cottages include equipped kitchens in case you don't want to go out for every meal. The resort has tennis... More

WOW!!!! My boyfriend and I were winging our last couple days in Florida after our Key West vacation....we literally found Kona Kai on yelp after having a cocktail at Snooks Bar and Grille. Not only was Tracy just wonderful but her customer service was phenomenal. This is literally a slice of heaven. The attention to detail is amazing, the simplicity... More

We sought a respite from our hectic Jersey jobs and found utopia here. We had the pleasure of spending two glorious nights in the fully equipped banana suite stocked with cds of island tunes to help us fall into a restful slumber after a fully packed day of endless activities on property or nearby. On the second night we grabbed... More

If you are looking for a place of quiet beauty to recharge your batteries, this is the place to go. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the botanical specimens add an extra dynamic that you wouldn't find in your standard resort. There's no beach to speak of but a floating dock gives you access to bay side swimming and the heated... perfectly manicured and styled retreat. Small but well designed botanical garden surrounds the cottages. The cottages look to be updated 1950's units: pastel tiled bathrooms with black tile borders. Efficiency units so stop at publix and pick up breakfast, snacks and wine. Bay front view, no sandy beach, excellent views and attentive service. Rooms are spacious but baths are small,... More

My husband and I were back at the Kona Kai for our semi-annual visit. Each time, we try to stay a little longer, and each time, it gets harder to leave. It's become our home away from home. The suites are beautiful, with furnishings you wish you could have at home. The grounds, the pool, the service - everything is... More

Wonderful and professional service and immaculate upkeep. The property is beautiful. The sheet with restaurant recommendations was spot on. Our favorite part of the stay was drinking wine out on their boatlaunch and watching the sunset. Enjoyed the hot tub, too. We loved that they did not have a list of rules like many smaller inns do.

Immaculate grounds and well decorated, updated comfortable rooms. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with a breathtaking view of the sunset. We kayaked every morning and were fortunate enough to be joined by a manatee! We took the paddleboat out at sunset and had a front row seat! There was plenty of room to relax and unplug . I especially enjoyed... More

All of the beaming reviews of Kona Kai are, in fact, true. This place is a rare gem in the Keys. It is absolutely beautiful, luxurious and relaxing. Two nights was not enough, yet we took advantage of everything the resort had to offer--which is a lot--paddle boats and kayaks, tennis, shuffleboard, ping pong, hammocks, a beautiful pool and hot... All reviews I read were right on. The place is clean and beautiful..The 2 complaints I have is the water pressure..Not sure if the property can do anything, but taking a shower in the Pineapple room took at least 1/2 hour due to the low water pressure. I own a bedding company and the bed in the Pineapple room was... More
