All reviews I read were right on. The place is clean and beautiful..The 2 complaints I have is the water pressure..Not sure if the property can do anything, but taking a shower in the Pineapple room took at least 1/2 hour due to the low water pressure. I own a bedding company and the bed in the Pineapple room was... More

We spent 4 terrific nights here. The view and sunsets and beach facilities were awesome. The rooms were well-maintained. The soaps and shampoo were spa quality. The in-room coffee was good. The gardens were a nice bonus, as was the tennis court. The hot tub was especially comfortable. Overall a fantastic facility, with very friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed for two night with our family of two grown-up daughter and we liked it so much that we only left the resort to go out for food. We relaxed at the swimming pool and went kajaking along the shore. The sunsets were great, we enjoyed the wine and the manatee that was very close to the shore. The... More

This was a two night stay during our dream vacation to celebrate my wife's retirement. Tracey and Denise were extremely welcoming and helpful with any request, including arranging tours, getting groceries, etc. Our room was quite spacious and exceeded our expectations. As a photographer/naturalist/gardener, I immensely enjoyed the spectacular gardens, including the private tour arranged for us, with the botanist.... More

This was our fifth stay in the past dozen years, celebrating our anniversary. It has become our go-to place to get away, relax, indulge, and be pampered. The suites are unique and delightful. The ambiance was enhanced by the merger with the botanical gardens. Try the fish restaurant across the street; it's the best.

Thank you to Denise and Traycie for a very needed respite from a cold northern winter! You both provided superb concierge service. My sisters niece and daughter all converged upon your lush botanical heaven in mid January to celebrate some special birthdays. We were thrilled with the room and suite, the stunning views, beachfront, activities, pool, jacuzzi, plant life and... More

My husband I stayed in January 2015. This hotel was so wonderful! The room was perfect and well equipt and comfortable. We loved the waterfront on the bay along with the pool. It was so nice to be able to watch the sunset with a glass of wine on their land pier. Also the grounds were gorgeous and the botanical... More

My husband and I drove to see the Florida keys and we stayed one night at Kona Kai. I wish we had more time during our trip but this place is special! This is the perfect place to unwind and forget about all your stress. The owners thought of everything, right down to a free wine reception in the evening... More

We loved everything about Kona Kai. We booked side-by-side rooms with our daughters, staying in the Key Lime and Banana Suites. They were wonderful - situated between the office and the tennis court, they were very private and quiet. The pool is lovely, and the beach is pristine, but we spent most of our time on the dock, overlooking the... More

We stayed in the mango room. Perfectly fine although the A/C did kinda stink. We enjoyed the privacy afforded by having a free standing room. We enjoyed the complimentary botanic garden tour. The gardens are really small - just around the rooms, but interesting none-the-less. Enjoyed the free tennis, unfortunately the ping pong table was under construction. We brought some... More
