If you have been to the Keys, you know that nice beaches are hard to find. Key Colony has a beautiful beach with a pool right next to it. We loved the TiKi huts and lounge chairs. We laid under the moon every night, until we were so tired we walked a few steps and headed to bed. If you... more

That’s what we were wondering when we booked 2 nights at Key Colony Beach Motel. We knew it would not be a 4 star experience but didn’t know quite what to expect. Well, for about $100 per night (plus 11.5% FL tax), you get a nice piece of sandy beach (right next to the Cabana Club), a clean and warm... more

I'm a local here in Marathon & i had an emergency to where i needed a place to stay for one night. The price & beds were good. But i found a cockroach in our bathroom. When i went to take a shower, I kept hearing people! So i got out, assuming some how someone got in my room. Needless... more

Do you remember these old road-movies, where the escaped Gangster were caught by the Police in a Motel? Here you feel like set back in time... Awesome! The room I had was clean, in the Bed I could sleep well and the Bathroom was OK (clean and without animals). Very good was also the refridgerator. (big enough to store many... more

The hotel is a typical keys motel run by people who don't care too much, They overcharged us, and then once we had left having sorted it out supposedly, they ran the card again for the original wrong amount twice now they keep passing the buck to other people who cant be contacted, stank of sewage while we were there... more

This is a well maintained small motel on the right spot. We liked it very much, because we - as frequent travelers to the US and especially Florida for 20 years - like small, familiar, friendly (and even a little old fashioned) seaside hotels/motels much more than concrete skyscrapers. This motel is situated in Key Colony which in itself is... more

We have stayed at the Key Colony Beach Motel 4 times in the last 10 years - mostly in the winter months, but once in the summer. It always has been comfortable and pleasant. This last trip on Dec. 10, 2007 thru Dec. 13, 2007 was the absolute best. We were the only people in the hotel the first two... more
