We were there from a Sunday Night to a Friday mid morning. When we arrived we were told our room would not be ready. We had reserved the suite because we had 3children with us. They gave us two rooms instead because they were doing some remodeling on the off season. It did not bother us because our kids are... More

My parents came to stay a few days while we were down for Lobster diving. This place looks old from the outside. The rooms however, are very clean. They stayed in a suite 3 nights. It consists of 2 rooms, one with ocean view. One room ha2 two beds and the other has a futon. The last night they stayed... More

The motel is very cozy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best part is the private little beach that is part of the motel with lawn chairs and beach beds to relax in. The only thing that was not up to par was the wi-fi. The lobby even has free coffee in the mornings. As for the pool it... More

This is the perfect location for a weekend in the Keys. Fall asleep with sound of the water lapping against the sand. Walking distance to a pier and restaurant. The pool is perfect for the kids. And you are far enough away from everything to actually relax.

This is an absolute gem of a find. OK its very basic and a bit tired, but its clean, spacious and the location is awesome for its price! The bonus is its on one of the few sandy beaches in the Keys. Maid service and clean towels daily, A.C in both rooms and a large fridge freezer. We stayed in... More

We had called a couple months prior to travelling to the keys and decided to stay in/around Marathon Key as it seemed more family friendly than some of the other keys. Key Colony Beach Motel was one of the more inexpensive places to stay and called to make a reservation. Unfortunately, all their newly remodeled rooms were already reserved (they... More

It's nice to hear you enjoyed staying here. We try hard to be the best. Our other rooms are being remodeled this summer, hopefully, but they are still nice roomy rooms. Some of the largest in the Keys. Cant wait to see you again. The Staff More

If you're looking to stay at the beach at a reasonable price this may be the place for you. I enjoy "old Florida", and this place certainly qualifies as such. It's not fancy, and is even a bit run down. But it is very clean and at a great location. There are plenty of chairs on the beach, plus tables... More

I really appreciate your review. We are aged but I wouldn't say rundown. Having said that, we are doing some fairly major renovations this summer. Have to keep the old girl looking good and fit. 60 years old this year. Gone through 4 major hurricanes and was skirted by hundreds more! Wheew, time flies! Happy to hear you enjoyed your... More

So peaceful and relaxing. We had our own private beach. Nobody bothered us. The rooms were clean and charming. It's a great little hideaway, off the beaten path, but very accessible to all your wants and needs! Excellent location and will definitely stay here again!!!

Understand that this is a 1950s motel, so no frills, nothing fancy. However, its clean and the rooms have been somewhat renovated, but they retain the charm of the 1950s hotel by not dry-walling, not replacing the old crank windows and leaving the original shelf/bar at the back of the room. The bathroom, which was nice, and pool are handicap... More

We stay there several times a year, the room are clean but air conditioners don't work all the time, disorganized management and staff and I was treated poorly by the older lady behind the counter. There's a lot of places to stay in the Keys, I won't be staying here anymore!!

Tracy, I am sorry for all that happened. You are a valued guest and sometimes nerves get frazzled on both sides. As a frequent traveler, you know this out of the ordinary. So, please try us again and hope to see you soon ps. Elizabeth Taylor was married twice to the same man. John More
