Overall my family enjoyed the resoprt, we ultized the resort's transportation and my family used boith the main pool and the unit's pool. The areas that I found this resort to be weak in... More

We planned a celebration and family reunion at the Ameila Island Plantation. The resort worked to keep our two different rentals close by. The units were both beautiful, spacious and comfortable for us all to stay in for the weeks stay. There are so many choices at the resort to keep every member of the family happy. The staff was... Great Place, fantastic staff, prompt service and the food was superior, especially the breakfast buffet. The bell staff was actually my favorite part, they were so polite and helpful and especially in the drastic heat.

Amelia Plantation villas were not very clean, dated, and numerous bugs both alive and dead. The golf course was excellent condition and staff were very friendly. Food was very good, but the bartender in the hotel lobby bar did not know how to make their signature drink.

Elevator for ShipWatch does not stop at floor of Villa, had to use steps too. Difficult for handicapped. Try another Villa such as Sea Dunes (also closer to beach). However, nice rooms, well stocked amenities in Villa, fantastic view and friendly and caring cleaning staff. Overall pleased except did not know about elevator issue.

Beautiful location and lobby area is really nice. The view from our beachfront villa (really a condo) was perfect. Trying to make reservations (conference block), get information about villa locations, get information about cancellation due to illness was extremely difficult before check-in. Most of the staff was friendly; some were hopelessly uninformed. The prix-fixe dinner arranged at Oceanside was uneven... More

Our family enjoyed our vacation time at Amelia Island Plantation. We came specifically because we found a dog friendly villa and we knew from past experience that their tennis program is top notch. The beach was beautiful, the pool was great and our dogs enjoyed their walks on the beach! Big thumbs up to the instructors at the tennis center:... More

As a person that attends up to 10 conferences annually, this is among the best places for a business conference. Here are a few points to consider: The food is good, really good. There is plenty for your family to do while you are working. The conference space is newly renovated and offers all the needed amenities. Great Golf Southern... More

We needed a couple days to decompress and a villa at Amelia Island Plantation was the perfect place to do that. The villa was wonderful with a fantastic view of the Atlantic. Situated on the very southern edge of the property on their private beach made for a very quiet, relaxing time for my wife an I. When we did... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation sprawl across 1,350 beautiful and isolated acres, along Florida's north eastern coastline, just across the St. Marys River in Georgia and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina. The Villas overlook the azure blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway on the west. Though private, secluded and protected by a gated entry, the location is a convenient 45 minute drive away from downtown Jacksonville and 29 miles from Jacksonville International Airport. Private and corporate aircraft charters can fly directly to Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, which is only four miles north of the plantation. Each villa is unique and different. Units come in varying sizes and locations, including ocean view, resort view and tennis view single guest rooms, as well as one, two and three bedroom units, ideal for larger parties, and feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, multiple baths and private bedrooms. Most complexes have at least one pool. Be sure to confirm the villa type, location and amenities available when booking. The villa accommodations are independently owned, but are located within proximity to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation resort. ... more   less
