This was our second trip to The Fairbanks house for a girls weekend get-away. Just like last year, it was an amazing experience. We look forward to coming back every year now! The Fairbanks House is like our home away from home...without the cleaning, cooking, whining.. etc. It's a perfect place to get away from it all. The inn keepers... more

We scheduled a stop for a couple of nights in Amelia Island in order to split a car journey from Tennessee to Miami. I booked us into the Fairbanks House after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor thinking that a stay in a B&B would be more personal than the usual hotel. This visit to the Fairbanks House has definitely... more

My college best friends and I agreed we would pick a new girls" weekend place each year. That was until we found The Fairbanks House. We just got back from our 2nd year at the Fairbanks House and are ready to schedule our next years visit. For me it started on the phone with Teresa, the owner. She's one of... more

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of September. I was driving and when we pulled onto south 7th st (address of fairbanks house) my husband said Wow look at that place and I was happy to inform him that was our destination. We were warmly welcomed by Theresa and Bill. This is a great place to stay for... more

My husband and I have stayed at the Fairbanks house 5 times, we don't even bother going to any of the other b&b's around there. Each time we stay in a different room and still have more to go. Bill and Teresa are wonderful they make you feel like family, we live in Tampa, FL and go to Amelia Island... more

My wife and I picked Fairbanks House out of the blue for our honeymoon. Risky, yes, but the reward was wonderful. We had never stayed at a B&B before and had no idea what to expect. Well, when Theresa met me at the front door, and called me by my name, I begin to think we may be on to... more

Seven women, ranging in age from 18 to 70+, of diverse interests and tastes, stayed at Fairbanks House for 4 days. I can't think of one thing any of us would have wanted different. We had a room in the main house and a cottage on the grounds; both were extremely comfortable with great attention to detail. Breakfasts were yummy.... more

I stayed at the Fairbanks House for two nights with a group of girlfriends. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Tower Suite is wonderful--full kitchen, living room, and lots of conversation nooks to enjoy, and I can't forget the fresh baked cookies!. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well furnished. We even had our own tower which provided a great... more

My mom and i went to The Fairbanks House for a "girl's get-a-way" and had the most fabulous time. While the home was very well kept, and full of history it was also warm and inviting. We loved sitting on the front porch early in the morning chatting, and watching nature. Our host and hostess were very accommodating, and friendly.... more

By far, the most fabulous bed & breakfast on Amelia Island. The Fairbanks House was a gift to our relationship, a much needed rest for our bodies and a renewal for our spirits. The grounds are beautiful to the eye and the sweet fragrance of the foilage is intoxicating. We stayed in the school house cottage which we found to... more
