I have stayed at this resort now three times. I have paid to be oceanfront all three times. I will not stay again. Check in is at a small building near the entrance. Then you have to wind through the streets to get to the hotel. The bellmen were polite and curteous. Upon entering the Inn, there is a restuarant... more

I signed up by email to receive specials and got a beachfront room for 99/night. Extended my original stay. This was a great deal. Spent most of our time reading on the balcony. Beautiful, clean beach. Many nooks and crannies around the grounds. Excellent place to rent a bike or go for a run. Had pools layered and so it... more

My husband and I just returned from an amazing weekend at Amelia Island. This was our first trip to the area. We really didn't have any expectations as this was a spur of the moment trip and we hadn't really done alot of research -- we just needed to get away from the city. WOW is all we have to... more

We went to Amelia Island Plantation for a beach vacation with our 4 year old daughter. We were prepared for an outdated resort with lots of hidden charges. We found neither. Our room was nice and updated, though on the small side, and the cost of everything was very prominent. Yes, they did charge for amenities and gratuity, but it... more

For the past year Amelia Island Plantation is desperately looking for a partner to help it’s location. Until a partner can be found and upkeep improved I would suggest staying at another hotel. We have been to this location on three different times. In fact, until this trip it was one of my favorite resorts to visit. But with the... more

Went to Amelia Island for a romantic getaway. Had been on the grounds before (lovely) but not at the hotel. Upon check-in, my boyfriend and I decided to nap since we'd been out sightseeing all day. As soon as our heads hit the pillow (it was almost comical), the ruckus from young children in the next room (adjoining doors to... more

We've visited this resort area several times over the last 30 years or so, and will return again. The surrounding oaks and well-manicured grounds are superior to the great majority of resort areas. We did find a tiny bit of extra attention to the seaside rooms would help, but it is still a grand place for a beach stay. We... more

Our first trip to NE Florida for a long weekend was so nice and relaxing that we felt we had been away longer, thanks to the AIP. As there are several places to say at AIP, this review covers the Inn, which is the primary hotel at AIP. Specifically we were in room 441, which is the last room to... more
