I’ll make a very long story short. When I got to my room everything seemed fine. Once I got into bed I noticed a hair on the sheet, then another and another. A dozen hairs later, it is clear the sheets were not changed since the last guest. Just to check, I pulled the sheets down on the other unused... more

This is totally an unacceptable level of service and quality of our product. I will personally follow up with you to thoroughly understand what transpired during your stay. In addition, I will follow up with our Housekeeping and Front Desk departments. Our team at Amelia Island Plantation is committed to making people happy and we will get this fixed.

My husband and I stayed here for a professional meeting. Fortunately,we did not have to pay for our stay. The grounds are lovely and natural. The food we were served tasted institutional, and uninspired. The rooms were clean, but small and the furniture was very dated. All the extras, such as room service, mini bar, activities, etc were quite expensive,comparable... more

Guest satisfaction is a priority at Amelia Island Plantation and I'm sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We remodeled the rooms in the Amelia Inn in 2007 to a AAA 4 Diamond level. The villas are individually owned and the interior decoration choices are left up to the owner. We offer many packages which include amenities, recreation...

I stayed at the Tennis Villas during a conference. The room was nice - two beds, armoire and desk (standard hotel room), large bathroom with shower, dual sinks and jacuzzi tub. Also surprised to see washer and dryer and a refrigerator but no microwave, which I thought was odd given the other amenities. The standard charge for the room was... more

We value our guests' stay and are glad that you have shared your disappointment with us. We are asking our front desk and housekeeping departments to let us know the procedure for assisting guests in times of electrical outages. As you can imagine, afternoon thunderstorms and their resulting lightning strikes are common in Florida in the summer and we want...

We've visited this resort area several times over the last 30 years or so, and will return again. The surrounding oaks and well-manicured grounds are superior to the great majority of resort areas. We did find a tiny bit of extra attention to the seaside rooms would help, but it is still a grand place for a beach stay. We... more

Amelia Island Plantation is sure to please. When you entire the premise, you are immediately struck by the serenity of the location. The property they had us stay on was right on the beach; in fact, I could walk directly from the hotel room to the beach. The rooms look like they had been updated and/or refurbished; they were of... more

One of the top 5 resorts we've stayed at. Booked a one-bedroom ocean front suite, stayed in the Sandcastles: fabulous view, very nice room, fully stocked kitchen, 2 large plasma tv's, great balcony. Working wireless internet, good proximity to several pools, and steps to beach. Family played while I attended conference (great conference facilities and awesome food). Wonderful kids pool... more

Pros: Sandcastles oceanfront room (really a minisuite) was spacious; clean; well maintained; with a balcony; and nice view of an unspoiled beach. Seemed a little old, but nothing negative to say about it. The airport shuttle was a little pricey, but ran on time and the drivers were really nice and courteous. Cons: Was definitely built in the era of... more

My husband attended a conference through Emory University at Amelia Island Plantation (AIP). When booking the hotel 3 months out, there weren't any ocean view rooms available so we took a 2-bedroom resort view. We were initially unaware of the immense size of the place--when the brochure says ocean or resort view, we thought that there is a building that... more

My husband was going for business and I tagged along. I have found that I typically don't like resorts because I feel trapped. We had a rental car, so I could get off the resort. Okay, now for the review. Yes, it's dated. But you get a beach viewing room. We stayed in Sandpiper Phase 1. I loved the view.... more
