I stayed at the Casa Marina august 16-17 (one night stay, ocean view room). Upon check in, I arrived at 6pm. I walked to front desk and the girl greeted me (younger blonde girl) and then her phone rang and left me standing there for 10 minutes so she could book the person calling in on the phone. I find... My husband and I stayed here for our 35th anniversary. The location is fabulous. However there is no pool. The outside and grounds could use some TLC. The restaurant's kitchen door faces the main entrance and was always open and unkept. The area around the side and back, facing the ocean, was littered with tables broken chairs and umbrellas. The... I read all the previous reviews about this historic hotel, and the discussion about the noise certainly was true. I came prepared and asked for a quiet room and the hotel delivered. Room 208 is on the second floor in the opposite corner from wedding festivities, dining room and rooftop bar (with DJ that plays from 10 pm to closing).... More

If you're looking for fancy accommodations, stay at a fancy chain hotel. If you're looking for a beautiful historic hotel with character, stay here. Our room was small but nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable and there was a refrigerator in the room. There was not a full length mirror in the room. Do not stay in room 108... More

rooms are average size. Beds are not comfortable. Couch had excessive stains. One mirror, tiny. Very few outleta. Nowhere to get yourself ready to go out. now, the noise between 11 pm and 130 am is where it gets fun. Don't expect to sleep. So just stay up and drink at the bar. The yelling, screaming in the hallway at... More

We attended a recent wedding at Casa Marina and planned to stay at the hotel for three nights. After the first night we decamped to a nearby Mariott because our rooms at Casa Marina smelled strongly of mold and mildew, the pull out sofas were broken in both rooms and the furniture was so stained we put towels down to... Old, frayed pillows, dusty AC vents, broken fold out sofa, old TV sets...not historically old...very worn-out old. Two packs of coffee, no cream or sugar, stains on curtains and chair upholstery. Very disappointed in the quality of the rooms. Extremely difficult to find parking. Day beach goers use all available spots. Have to park in front of hotel to lug... More

Casa Marina is long on charm and atmosphere, an ideal place for a wedding reception. The Mission-style architecture and beachfront location couldn't be prettier. The staff is exceptionally well-trained and functions like a well-oiled machine. They understand what it takes to stage a successful event. Be forewarned, however, that Casa Marina is a lively spot and you might not want... More

This is my second time staying here and I love it! Don't expect a concierge experience. If you want peace and quiet don't stay here. If you want history, fun and a unique experience this is the place! The price is right but the overall feel of this hotel is just plain cool! I totally feel like life is made... More

Did not stay in the hotel, but had heard about their Penthouse Lounge for cocktails and tapas. Lovely oceanfront setting outdoors overlooking the beach. We happened to go at Happy Hour (4-7pm) when the "List" martinis are $5. Very interesting choices! I had the "Flirtini" which was among the best cocktails I've ever had...and not just in the martini category.... More
