This campground is a gorgeous, well maintained destination. Very peaceful and relaxing. Close to the town of Inverness and shopping, but not too close. Owners are incredibly friendly and you can see the pride that they take in their property. There are many accommodations to choose from, whether you want a cabin, have a camper, or like a tent. We... Nestled in dense woodlands along SR 44 seven miles east of Inverness, the Riverside Lodge Resort is a veritable oasis right at the heart of Citrus County in Florida. The small cottages and log cabins are reminiscent of ski chalets in the Alps, spread across the 10-acre campground. Lush, gnarled oak and cypress trees dot the landscape. The luxury log... More

Nice experience at this campground. Hosts are German with European flare throughout. Campground nicely maintained. Look for an old camper at driveway on 44 East entrance with flower box decorations and a "guy in a boat" fishing on top of the old, decorated camper. Cute advertisement! Price is $40.00 per night, pet friendly, full hook-ups, free wi-fi, NO cable. If... More

Located on the Withlacoochie river, this is a very nice campground. We enjoyed fishing off the pier as well as enjoying activities in the area. Short drive from downtown Inverness and 20 miles from beautiful Rainbow Springs in nearby Dunnellon. Also a short drive from Crystal River. Across the street is Wild Bills Airboat rides=fun. Reconnect with natural FL. We... More

We are Florida residents who were just looking to get away with the kids for a few days, and we had the most amazing time! Our cabin exceeded our expectations-clean and cozy with a lovely view. We decided to rent a motor for a boat (which is otherwise free) and it was as if we had entered paradise, and we... More

Stayed for a 3 day weekend. Cabin was very nice, a 2 bedroom, very clean and very comfortable. People talked with one another and it made you feel you weren't there by yourself trying to have a good time. Our pet was happy, too, just poking around, taking a walk and dozing on the back porch, which overlooked the river.... More

My family and I picked this Gem to celebrate our "Joys of June" ( My husband's Bday, my Son's Bday, our Anniversary, and Father's Day). When we arrived we were greeted by Management, who were warm and welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable. The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the golf... More

There was dog hair all over furniture, my child could not sleep there. When informed staff, was told I'd get a good deal on my next visit & they would tell lady cleaning to give extra attention cleaning. If you are non-smoker you will have a hard time breathing as people smoke inside these things & smell permeates everything.

Very clean family atmosphere, We rented 2 cabins over the 4th of July holiday, Cabins are very nice, large deck and we also had a nice screened porch. We had a neighborhood camp fire at the end of every night at the large fire arena right next to the water. The fishing was great the kids loved it. Boats in... More
