We visited the Tampa area for the first time as a couple and were looking for a nice quiet beach location to stay, not knowing anything about the area at all. After a cursory search on TripAdvisor we found this place (Sandy Shores), and we were really glad we did. We stayed in the Garden cottage on the first level... More

This was our second stay at Sandy Shores in the Garden Cottage...this time for two weeks and this was as enjoyable as our first stay. The cottage is clean and comfortable, quiet and only steps from the ocean. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous! Several restaurants are within walking distance. Just a great place to stay....going back again next year.

We visited for one week and loved the serenity of the gardens, the beach right at your door step, the wonderful old Florida feel of the premises. We stayed in the Garden suite and it felt like home with a beach. Myrtle is a lovely hostess and keeps the premises beautifully and we really enjoyed an afternoon cocktail on the... More

Hello Myrtle and Ned! Sorry for this very late review but you know we changed house this summer and we had a lot of work. You also know, to write in English I need a little bit more time ;o) .... you see, I miss the practice. And the sun .... and the plants .... and the big warm bathtub... More

We haven't been on vacation in a long time. Found this beautiful place. Was exactly what we where looking for. Clean, quiet, close to everything. Walked every night to restaurants. Ned and Myrtle are wonderful people. We will be back next year. Highly recommend this to everyone who wants to just relax and walk on the beach without having to... More

We stayed for 3 nights and rented all three rentals on the property. The bottom line is we wish we had stayed for 2 weeks. Grammy's House or the Gulf (or is it Golf Ned?) is absolutely beautiful with spectacular blue water outside your dining and living room windows. We were on the beach till the wee hours of the... Sleep late...laze on the beach...splash in the waves...eat great food. Repeat. This sums up our 4th yearly visit to Sandy Shores (this time minus the teenaged kid)! The property is wonderful as usual. We stayed in the Beach Cottage again. Spotlessly clean and quiet. The beach is great - no crowds, no noise and the water was soooooooo warm! Have... More

Ned and Myrtle have created a true gem not to be missed. Sandy Shores has the perfect mix of home and get-away in its immaculate sea cottage style, with every convenience a walk away. My husband and I happened on this slice of heaven by complete chance and can say with certainty we will make a point to travel back... More

Sandy Shores has become my favorite spot to stay in Indian Rocks. I have stayed at three other places in the last 20 years and my latest stay at Sandy Shores was my most relaxing. Ned and Myrtle make sure your stay is peaceful and that you have everything you need. I stayed in the Patio and the accomodations were... More

I am a frequent visitor to this beach area, over the times have rented 8-10 different locations. The difference and excelence at S. Shores is that Ned &Myrtle understand the business they are in. You need to have this knowledge before you can compete and their expertise is reflected through out: how each room is equiped/appointed; cleanliness odor free; inclusion... More
