Sure the hotel is old, but the location and views are awesome. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite/river view. Very spacious and clean. Perfect weekend get away especially if you are scalloping. Our grandson enjoyed kayaking, boating and monkey island. We will return!

This hotel features a choice of rooms, some with kitchens, some just standard rooms. The rooms are nothing special, you are paying for the proximity to the water. I can't see why a non-boater would say here, but for boaters it works fine. Good docking facilities including fuel. We were there during scallop season, so staff seemed a bit harried.... More

Came to do some scalloping, and wanted to be on the river. The hotel is not fancy, at all. But it was clean, and our riverfront room did have a great view of the river. It is an old hotel, but we just need the basics. We were initially concerned because we were next to the bar/restaurant & thought it... More

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for out anniversary getaway on the weekend of the 4th of July. The room was clean the grounds nice, the potential for activities was good. Within the first 4 hours of our stay we found out that the neighboring room could everything we did & said. We were not being loud or... More

After reading some of the reviews I was not sure what to expect from this place but everything we experianced was very good here. The room was clean and comfortable. It is an older hotel but our room was quite nice and perfect for our little get away. The pool was very refreshing and relaxing and had a great view... More

Spent a Friday night here. We were in Villa 2, second floor. Our room wasnt ready when we arrived at 1pm, so we took the kids to the pool. A couple middle age guys came into the pool area and snuck a cooler in over the fence. A bit later a couple more guys joined them and then a couple... More

We stayed here for a quick weekend trip with my kids (ages 8 and 10). We stayed upstairs in Villa III. Rooms are definitely in need of updating... however they seemed fairly clean other than the black mold in the shower tiles. The AC may a huge noise every time it cycled on and off at night which made for... More

The mattress in our room was the worst we had ever slept on. Ridge in the middle sloping down on both sides. We loved playing trivia in the bar and the food was okay, but the bed made the visit unpleasant. Also, only hotel on our trip without a hair dryer.

This was my second stay at HRR. The first time was eight years ago and I was afraid it would have changed but we found it to be in wonderful condition with some updates and improvements that did not change the character. Old Florida at it's best. We had Suite 212, a two-bedroom, two-bath upstairs riverfront unit with a full... More

Rooms are outdated!!! Left behind a pair of sandals called to try to get them back and house keepers claim they found nothing. Kind of crappy to take someone's shoes.......so be careful not to leave anything behind if you want to see it again!
