Tough to get a room on the weekends during scallop season (July-early Sept) but the lull between September and October give any couple or small family a Florida Friendly on the water experience. My family and my dad reserved two rooms for a one night stay while we did the manatee tour in Homosassa with Air Tank Divers. There are not a whole lot of options in the area to stay while going on the tours so we chose this based on reviews on Trip Advisor. The prices were resonable for our needs... more

Escape from the ordinary @ McRaes. Motel - I have stayed here about 10X over the years. I return because of THE SERVICE. Plus the prices are very reasonable. A great motel, tike bar, fishing camp and bait store all rolled into one delightful place. Bring your boat, a public ramp is just next door, or rent one from MacRae's.
