I stayed with my sister and kids from July 5 - 11. Her daughter was there for the ADA dance competition. I flew into Miami and took supershuttle to the hotel for $27. Much cheaper than a taxi. I got tired of having to show my room key just to get through the door from the lobby into the pool... more

Great stay at a beautiful hotel, but the Dance Awards convention made it overwhelmed with kids. The Westin has perfected the "Heavenly Bed"...nice sized room and great bathroom/ shower. The beach was the place to be as the pool (expecially upstairs) was crowded. more

Hotel is older than the pictures lead me to believe but the interior was nice enough and the rooms were fine, like a Westin. The room service was okay, not that good but fed us when we were hungry. Staff was not impressive nor friendly and when busy, they ignored you instead of greeting you to acknowledge you were there... more

We had a room overlooking the ocean with a wonderful sandy beech and inviting ocean. Despite the large pool complex we were drawn to the sea every time. Comfortable sized room with larger than usual bathroom, separate loo and seperate shower within the bathroom; plus sliding window doors to bedroom that enabled you to watch television from the bath if... more

Booked 3 rooms at the Diplomat for myself, mom and brother/sis-in-law. We were looking for a relaxing mini-vacation (3 days) and found it at this hotel. The best part of our stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive and gracious. My mother, who is usally pretty picky, was overwhelmed by the staff. The valet parking crew handled the craziness... more

What a difference a year makes! I stayed at the Diplomate about 18 months ago and had an excellent time. This stay was very different. The hotel staff was reduced very significantly. The only thing reasonably priced was the coffee shop, where we ended up getting several meals. The restaurant options were very limited and extremely expensive. We felt overcharged... more

We stayed at the Diplomat Resort and Spa from 6/28-7/2. It is not as polished as other 5 star hotel, but the staff that I have in contact with are all extremely helpful. Each one is trying their very best to meet the needs of our family. The swimming pools are awesome, and the beach is a lot of fun.... more

Our trip was nice, but nothing spectacular. The beach and pools are nice, however on top of a high room rate you have to purchase individual beach chairs, chair pads, and umbrellas. The total cost for me and my husband for one day at the beach was $50 just to have a place to sit! That did not include any... more

The view from my room (2751 if anyone is interested) was amazing. Straight out to the Atlantic. It would probably be even better if I hadn't spent so much time in my room admiring the all-day thunderstorms in South Florida this summer. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It was a universal access room and I got an excellent... more
