My husband and I stayed in this resort during 4 nights (Nov. 26-Nov 30), prior to the cruise that departed from Port Everglades and enjoyed this hotel very much. We stayed in an ocean front room on the sixth floor (# 642) with an amazing view. It also has a nice terrace with 2 chairs & small table. Due to... More

This is a wonderful property on the beach. It is only a few miles from the terrific restaurants and activities of Delray, yet offers a very private, intimate experience for its guests. During my visit the hotel was undergoing renovations which caused the lobby, bar and restaurant to be closed. We were compensated by a reduced price on rooms and... More

Have stayed here multiple times, always a pleasure. Newly renovated (not done yet) smaller hotel right on the ocean with pool, great views, nice staff. Rooms are updated and nice. Small but with amenities- once restaurant is open again I look forward to 4 pm happy hours at the new outdoor bar. Restaurant is great, best ocean front views. Close... More

Renovated Holiday Inn. Misfortune of staying during renovation. Construction went on 7 days a week. Biggest drawback was having to get in the car to get something to eat or drink. Staff very friendly, rooms were clean. Great area if you like to go for walks. I predict finished product is going to be very nice.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at this hotel last week. We were told by the hotel ahead of time that they were undergoing renovations to their bar/restaurant area. We had absolutely no problem with the construction that was going on. The noise was very minimal (if any) and we still enjoyed the pool and beach area. They had... More

Just spent a night here on the way down the coast to Fort Lauderdale. Be aware that the restaurant and reception are being completely re-built, so no food in the evenings, lots of noise next to the pool, and nowhere to eat within walking distance -so $20 taxi each way or self-drive. In the afternoon there was a basic BBQ... More

Beachfront hotel in south florida thats not a high-rise and is "away from it all". What's not to like about that? LOVED this place. Everything we wanted in a place to stay while visiting family. Perfect. Except there was a party going on in the room below us one night. Paid extra for ocean front upstairs balcony (worth it!) but... More

We made a reservation for the Thanksgiving holiday at this iPrefer site in July. Today, we learned that their restaurant would be closed during our visit. The hotel never contacted us. We learned by accident when we visited their website. We did not see any indication of this when we booked. Make sure that you confirm that the restaurant is... More

I just check out of this hotel yesterday and spent 7 nights there. It is currently being renovated so I do not know how it usually looks, but I can tell you that most of the service great. Although they did give me a courtesy call to inform me of the restaurant closure, they did not tell me the level... More

We just returned from a great weekend at The Delray Sands Resort (formerly, the Highland Beach Holiday Inn). The rooms were beautifully renovated. Among our family we had rooms on the oceanfront and poolside, all were very nice. The staff was amazing. Everyone from the front desk, housekeeping, beach service and poolside grill chef was so accommodating. The hotel manager... More
