I've been vacationing at Ginnie Springs about once a year for the last decade, twice in the last month, and it is absolutely my favorite place to enjoy the real Florida. From snorkeling in the various beautiful springs to a relaxing float down the river to being well fed at the cafe I'm just always happy when I'm here. It's... More

Like many things, ones opinion of Ginnie Springs is completely relative of where you're at in life. If you're into consuming large quantities alcohol, don't mind loud music or harsh language, enjoy the occasional fist fight and don't can make it a few days without sleep then Ginnie Springs is the place for you. I grew up in the area... More

My family of four stayed here for two nights with both my brother's and sister's families. My sister-in-law stayed three nights and was dying to go home after the first. She said she grew up going to Ginnie Springs with her parents and it was quiet and pristine. Not anymore. Heed the other reviews. Impossible to enjoy the nature here.... More

Beautiful springs, horribly managed. The staff is militant about making sure they get paid the high entry fee, but after you leave the (deceptively clean) camp store, there is no supervision or management of any kind. You quickly realize why there are "no refunds on entry fees" signs posted. Drunken college students, AS WELL AS, underage drunken teens everywhere. People... More

there is broken glass and trash everywhere. So many drunk and loud people. This is not a place for families to enjoy nature. It feels like a ghetto trailer park. When I called with my concerns, they told me thats just the way it is because its owned privately.

First things first - when its a party its NUTS. But I wish we had realized that Memorial Day weekend is a nutty party for the first two days, Friday and Saturday, but it quiets right back down by the middle of Sunday. So you could definitely have your kids there for that part. Plenty of spaces open up, too.... More

First time at Ginnie for Memorial Day. I surely had a blast. The staff surely knows how to keep things safe, fun and clean. Not a weekend for kids/family. We were in the primitive sites, and it's first come first served. We got a site directly on the bank of Dogwood Spring. We had our own entrance/exit to swim and... More

This park is one of the most beautiful in Florida and I remember a day we could camp here with our kids and enjoy the springs in its natural setting. Now it's natural setting is 20 tents to a site, abundant alcohol. Kariokee and loud music till dawn plus all manor of undress and drunken behavior allowed and encouraged. Who... More
