We decided to take a get away weekend at the Peninsula Inn located in the eclectic city of Gulfport. We love Gulfport! It's a funky little arts village town on Bocca Ciega Bay, with quaint shops and really good restaurants particularly Isabella's. I highly recommend the mussels for an app, and the scallops; delicious. We sat on the veranda as... More

We only stayed 1 night in this very quaint Inn. We loved the relaxed feeling we had staying in one of the 12 very comfortable rooms. Its location to Fort De Soto Beach, Dali Museum and the Trop make it all the more attractive. The resturant menu was mouth watering, although we didn't get to sample it this time, we... More

I totally agree with Fredric Z's recent review! We live in north Tampa, an hour away, but so far hadn't visited Gulfport overnight. Gulfport is the closest thing to Key West we have found on Florida's west coast. The Inn fits right in with the town's laid-back charm. Our suite was comfortable, and the food at Isabella's was first-rate. Our... More

I came in for the air conditioning and stayed for this piece of old Florida in the Summertime. Cool old school bar, great piano player, ice cold scotch on the rocks. All on a hot humid Gulfport night. Come and enjoy but don't change it at all. Relax like back in the day and appreciate.

My wife and I live only an hour from the Peninsula Inn but we love coming down to stay at the Inn and enjoy Gulfport, which is like a mini-Key West. Great weekend vacation with great Inn to stay the night, great food at Isabella's and fun town in Gulfport. Highly recommended

This was our first time to Gulfport. We're local to Tampa and wanted a beach weekend for the holiday but the St Pete hotels were charging higher prices because of the holiday weekend so we found this place online. We had a lovely stay in this charming Inn. The staff was warm and inviting. We stayed in the Princess suite... More

We love coming here. Welcoming staff, relaxing venue, even on this 4th of July holiday. Dinner at Isabella's was fabulous, sat on the veranda. Great sangria! An added bonus was the fireworks show, awesome! We Will be back next 4th!

Expecting more of one of the Historic Hotels of America, we carried our own bags to a suite, with two window air conditioning units - one of which put out nothing but mildly cool air. The other did its best to cool the bedroom. The furniture was old and worn (the bedding was nice), and there were leftover items still... More

Even though we live in the St Petersburg area, we had never been to this historic (built in 1901) hotel to dine. We ate on the lovely veranda. We had our little Corgi dog with us, as the area of Gulfport Florida is very dog friendly. Our appetizer was a delicious plate of fried green tomatoes smothered in pimento cheese... More

My 5 year old daughter and I loved staying at the lovely Peninsula Inn . . . everyone was so nice and accommodating in anything we needed during our weekend stay. The Inn is safe and located in a nice part of town. My daughter loved walking up and down Beach Boulevard and taking in the cute shops. This our... More
