It's hard to write review about a place we had to leave early due to an allergic attack from their pillows, but here it goes. Honey Lake is a very upscale Orvis endorsed sporting resort. Our problem was the down pillows. My wife found out, the first night, that she was allergic to them. No alternative pillows were provided so,... More

Just returned from two days of hunting quail on the property. There are about 4500 acres on the property, with excellent habitat for the birds. The staff is well-trained, helpful and hospitable. The hunting went well, and it is always a pleasure to watch well-trained dogs "doing their thing". Lodge accomodations are all excellent, and the food is more than... More

Just got back from a 2 day work retreat to Honey Lake Plantation. What a gem this place is. The staff was friendly, courteous and attentive- and the grounds are just breath-taking. It does not feel like Florida at all (exccept in the summer heat I suppose)- but more like Virginia or New England. There were 8 in our group... More

We had a party group of about 70 people spend a weekend at end of April. If you love hunting, fishing and outdoor sports, do give this a try! The owner/developer,Bob Williamson, who created this plantation has an amazing story to tell about growing up under alcohol and drugs which he overcame and became a millionaire. Be sure to check... The plantation itself is beautiful . More attention went into the buildings and the grounds then the kitchen. The food is advertised as being local and " Farm to Table." That is an outright lie. The food is bought from Sysco , and literally everything comes in frozen. The Roast Beef you ate that you believed was delicious? Yes, it... More

I have been here for day long and overnight work events and would highly recommend it! Lodging is beautiful, food is fabulous and the staff are extremely accommodating. The beautiful, wooded location is a relaxing get-away from the rest of the world and it has a really interesting history.

My family traveled about 5 hours to reach the Honey Lake Plantation Resort and Spa for a wedding. What a beautiful setting it was for a wedding and the weather could not have been more perfect. As we approached the facilities, we were in awe of the breathtaking beauty and elegance set in a rural and rather isolated area. We... More

Great place to get away or to plan a hunting trip or wedding. The restaurant food and service was amazing and the accommodations were better than expected. The plantation, lakes and church add to the experience

Beautiful classy lodging in the middle of nowhere - we went to a nearby wedding on the GA/FL border and most of us stayed here. The rooms in the Equestrian Lodge are extremely well furnished, if slightly cramped in the double queen rooms. The new wood still smells like new wood. Entry area was only social area, which was a...
