5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2010

I was reuniting with former co-workers in Florida and we chose the Camellia Rose Inn as it was a centrally located B&B. We each had beautifully appointed rooms & very comfortable beds, The inn was spotless, the innkeepers so friendly & helpful with directions and recommendations. The food was delicious. The Camellia Rose Inn is so convenient to the restaurants... More

My wife and I stayed in the Anticipation Room and we never sleep more comfortable, even in our own beds. The view out the windows were awesome, sitting out on the porches was very relaxing even with the heat outside this time of year there are fans that circulate the air and made it very comfortable to set outside. We... More

Our family stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast while our daughter graduated from the University of Florida, then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. We wanted a special place to stay to celebrate these events in our lives, and we found ourselves at the Camellia Rose Inn, and immediately fell in love with the... More

The Camellia Rose Inn is the best Bed and Breakfast that I have ever stayed in! I planned a romantic weekend for my husband's birthday and Tom and Pat made everything easy and perfect. They arranged a candlelight dinner for two on a veranda overlooking a garden, a sunset horse and carriage ride through historic Gainesville, served an outstanding breakfast... More

I've stayed in several B&B's and while this one is nice, I don't agree with some of the other reviews calling it outstanding. I will start by saying Pat and Tom are very gracious hosts. We stayed in the Anticipation room. I was disappointed there was no place to hang clothes. We had to lay our shirts either on the... More

This B&B is located close to the renovated downtown restaurant/entertainment district, in a neighborhood with live oaks and oodles of charm. The room and private bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were ample and good; cookies throughout the day and wine and cheese at sundown, and the welcoming owner/hosts completed an excellent B&B offering.

Hands down best stay in Gainesville! I read all of the other T.A. reviews, and am proud to report that this is a definitive 5! Pat and Tom the owners made us feel right at home, and took every chance they got to make sure our stay was perfect, and perfect was exactly what it was! Having stayed in gainesville... More

Luxurious beds and bedding; spotlessly clean rooms and inn with gleaming hardwood floors; location in the heart of Gainesville, in an historic district, easy walk to downtown attractions and restaurants; huge verandah where we read the morning paper or sipped complimentary wine before dinner; well-prepared and beautifully presented, nutritious breakfasts; warm, friendly & professional inn-keepers. We were extremely comfortable staying... More

This was a one-day getaway to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and Pat was as gracious and helpful as she could be. The room was cozy and clean and it was a quiet and peaceful chance for my spouse and I to get "off the merry-go-round." The wine and cheese by the fireplace was a nice tounch, and the breakfast... Before booking our stay at Camellia Rose Inn, we read many of the reviews. It turned out that all of them were accurate, if not understated. This place is truly outstanding and first-class in every respect. We were amazed at the level of cleanliness and attention to detail. The cleanliness was only outweighed by the hospitality of Pat and Tom.... More
