We stayed a few days in Gainesville as a short summer break. We chose the Camellia Rose because of its location - close enough to walk to downtown, but on a quiet street away from the bustle. We loved its calm, cool, shady-but-bright interiors. I could have lived happily on the deep wrap-around front porch! Our room was luxurious, and... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Camellia Rose Inn three times now within the past year. The first time we came, we had chosen the inn at random. The outstanding personal service, clean rooms, and fabulous breakfasts convinced us to return, and we will again in the future. Pat, Tom, and Chris make a great team. You will... More

My husband and I stayed here on our way home from our vacation to the Florida panhandle. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Chris. I felt like I was reuniting with a long lost friend! She was sweet and friendly. We loved everything about this bed and breakfast. Snacks served periodically during the day and evening. The... More

Wonderful, friendly staff, great food and SO comfortable and clean. Also, it's just a beautiful few blocks' walk downtown. Gay-friendly, too! My girlfriend and I felt very welcomed and cared for. We had an amazing time.

This place is wonderful and the host was wonderful as well. Very quiet and relaxing. Food was great. I even went away with some ideas to cook at home. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Thanks for your hospitality!

Just spent the most delightful week at the Camellia Rose B & B in Gainesville. Was visiting with family and didn't want to stay in a hotel. The B & B is a beautifully renovated old Victorian in the SE Historic District in Gainesville, a quick walk from all the downtown restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent. The host and hostess, Pat... When making our reservation I told Pat we were traveling to Gainesville for my foot surgery, She was so accommodating, explaining the room options in such detail that all my anxiety about post-op mobility was relieved. We stayed in Spat's Hideaway. It was quiet and comfortable, making it the perfect choice for our needs. We would go back just for... More

With a marvellous ambience and wonderful host what more could be needed for the perfect stay in such a nice town only a short walk away. The wednesday farmers market, afternoon wine & nibbles and stunning cooked breakfast can only add to the majic. Both my wive and I would recommend Camellia Rose to anyone.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this southern charm. The room was delightful with its fetching functionality and detail. The hospitality and foodservice were flawless, and our quiet nights spent out on the veranda overlooking the gardens below, while we sampled wine, cheese and chocolates will be treasured memories. Pat, you and Tom, are the best!!!

Pat was great in meeting my food preference and in helping me find my way back "home" when my gps failed during after dinner walk when she was officially off-duty. Also, the location is just a 10 minute walk from a variety of restaurants.
