Five jet shower; lovely toiletries; magnifying mirror; thick, thirsty towels; luxurious bed linens; no creaky stairs or squeaky doors or floors but an authentic Victorian ambiance; beautifully furnished and decorated; delicious chocolates and other treats available all day; complimentary wines and snacks in the evening; owners accessible but respectful of your privacy. This is the height of bed and breakfast... More

I stayed for one night and it was delightful. The Inn is historic and wraparound porch is especially lovely. The bed was quite comfortable in the Stardust room. There were other guests in the Inn and I never heard any noise. The innkeepers are very conscientious and considerate; they went out of their way to assist me with some last... More

My husband and I tend to get away to the Camelia Rose Inn once a year and we always stay in the Anticipation room (which is amazing). This time, the Anticipation was booked, so we stayed in the Inspiration. We were not disappointed at all. The Inspiration room was cozy, tastefully decorated, nestled in quiet spot in the back of... We stayed for 3 nights at the end of December. Pat the owner was very welcoming and she runs a very high quality B& B. The room we had was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. The place is quiet and has some lovely balconies and seating areas. A definite choice for us if back in Gainesville.

I have spent a few times at the Camellia Rose Inn and it is very comfortable and the inn keepers are very hospitable. It is quiet and has a nice garden area to sit and relax. This is a Bed and Breakfast and the breakfasts are very unique and tasty.

Wonderful place to stay. It feels like home away from home. The owners are very helpful and they always look out for your best interest. The wine at five is a treat and the breakfast is very delicious.

My wife and her friend from elementary school wanted to visit somewhere convenient to both of our travels, so we all met in the middle. In this case it was Gainesville and at Camellia Rose B&B. The furnishings and amenities were exceptional. Happy hour was nice in the evenings (5-7PM) before a nice walk to one of many great restaurants.... More

As a member of the bridal party we booked the Camellia for a wonderful pre-wedding getaway. I have been to several B&B's across the country and this is by far one of the best!! No detail has been left out. Our stay was short, we were sad to leave! Would have loved to have another night to enjoy. We live... More

This beautiful Inn was actually a Queen Anne house, originally known as Swearingen House. The house was originally built in 1903 for Thomas J. Swearingen. Swearingen, who owned one of the first automobile dealerships in Gainesville, lived in the original house for fifteen years. Now the house is home to Pat and Tom who run the bed and breakfast inn...
