If you like B&B, you'll certainly enjoy The Laurel Oak Inn. The very obliging and dedicated hosts, Monta and Peggy, provide a personal and excellent service. They are also pleased to help you organize your activities in Gainesville with helpful suggestions or even by borrowing equipment. The rooms have style and are very beautiful. You can also relax and enjoy... More

Perfect place with perfect service and perfect rooms. I can highly recommend this B&B. You can feel that the owner loves beeing a host because the service is very personal. I will for sure come back because I have never been to a better B&B

We wanted to enjoy a night on the town and had a great experience in Gainesville. These folks were so kind and the B & B was beautiful. Our room had a balcony, so we enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful view and birds in the morning.

Our second time here and just as wonderful as we remembered. Returning here is like an annual visit with old friends, Monta and Peggy are the best! Everything is perfect here, the beautiful rooms, the superb breakfasts, the evening social hour, the homemade cookies for evening snacks, the lovely porches and landscaped grounds. We could repeat all the comments from... More

Over the years I have stayed in B&Bs in Europe, Australasia and North America, and Laurel Oaks is one of the tops. I was in Gainesville to find a home, as I will be moving there in several months. My knowledge of the town was limited, and Monta and Peggy were generous with information and advice. The house and grounds... More

We have stayed here twice and will definitely stay there again whenever we are in Gainesville. The first time was for our daughter's UF graduation and we stayed downstairs in the "Library." Our second time was to attend the Gatornationals drag racing weekend and we stayed upstairs in the "Laurel." Both rooms were great - very clean and very comfortable.... More

My husband and I stayed here during a trip to Gainesville - we had picked this B&B because of the great reviews. We were made to feel welcome from the time we arrived. Everything was wonderful, the room was very clean and comfortable, the B&B had been beautifully renovated and we loved hearing of its history. We can't say enough... More

I stayed here for a conference at UF and I will be back next year. Monta and Peggy are fabulous hosts, the rooms are very clean and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious (I left stuffed every morning!) Plus I really appreciated the fact that the location was a quick 5 minute walk to all the downtown restaurants. The spa tub... More

The hospitality, ambience, and wonderfully attentive staff made our trip to Gainesville spectacular. Monta and Peggy did such a great job renovating this home and the stories and photos provide a colorful insight into the past. The breakfast was “to die for”! If you are traveling to the Gainesville area, this is the place to stay.

I stayed here during a visit to the University of Florida. It is a historic home in Gainesville that now serves as a bed and breakfast. The owner, chef, and caretaker is a personable, helpful, and knowledgeable individual. He is also an outstanding chef and the breakfasts are far superior to anything you'd get at a hotel (or probably home... More
