The Laurel Oak Inn is one of my favorite B&Bs anywhere. The hosts have truly thought of everything...from a glass of wine as you arrive, unreal chocolate cookies for a snack, and beautiful touches in all rooms - we had a fire place and fresh flowers in ours, and a private balcony with rocking chairs complete with blankets for chilly... We have traveled to numerous B & B's in North America and Europe. We have developed a high level of expectations. Upon arriving at The Laurel Oak Inn,which was selected online,we were greeted by Monta. We were impressed with his demeanor. He offered us refreshments and a tour of his facility, which was impressive. Our stay at The Laurel Oak Inn was... More

We first stayed at the Laurel Oak Inn in 2007 and have stayed there several times since. We fell in love with it the first time and it has never disappointed us. In fact, it gets better each time. The rooms are comfortable, the food is great, the service is marvelous and best of all, it is so relaxing to... More

Monta and Peggy make us feel so at home, so we keep coming back. I enjoy Gainesville in general, including a lot of good restaurants, but the BEST meal in town is breakfast at the Laurel Oak Inn. My wife's favorite room is the Lily, but every room has special charms. What a treat this place is. More

In a neighborhood of old Victorians, this beautiful old property has been lovingly restored. The breakfasts are a delicious three course affair and the afternoon chocolate chip cookies are great! The owners take pride in the inn and going out of their way to help their guests. The sound of running water in the morning might wake light sleepers but... More

We recently stayed at the Laurel Oak Inn with another couple while in town for a Gator football game and could not have made a better choice. Monta and Peggy are the perfect hosts, very welcoming but not at all intrusive. The house/rooms are very comfortable and wonderfully maintained. The location is great - close to the Univ but far... We recently stayed at the Laurel a couple weeks ago. It was our first B&B, and it exceeded our every expectation. Peggy and Monta made us feel so comfortable. We stayed in the Lilac room and it was the best! Everything you need plus a great patio to enjoy the view. In the morning, fresh, homemade, organic coffee and juice... More

This lovely B&B was painstakingly restored and is really wonderful. The innkeepers, Monta and Peggy make you feel like long lost friends without imposing. Their attention to detail is amazing - organic Brazilian coffee, wonderful breakfast and if you can get a room with one of their Ultra bathtubs...it is a real treat! Can't wait to return! More
