I just discovered that Red Roof Inn offers cheaper rates to folks over 50. It's a great deal. Nice, safe hotel with lots of places to eat within walking distance. I always stay there and have never had a bad experience. more

The room was clean, very basic. Convenient location, close to many things and easy access to UF campus, downtown. It was available at short notice for homecoming weekend, and at a not-as-jacked-up rate as all the other Gainesville hotels. Front desk lady was very nice. Walls were thin, at times we could hear noise from the rooms next door but... more

The hotel is a good value with clean rooms,It is near shopping ,restaurants and I-75, The rooms need comfortable chairs to sit on while watching tv.The mattress and pillows were lumpy, The water gets on the bathroom floor everytime we shower. The housekeeping did not make our beds nor change our towels(though there were extra towels in room).Did not ask... more

My wife and I decided to stay @ this Red Roof Inn location as we had stayed their before it had been redone. It was starting to decline the last time we stayed but since it had been rededicated we knew that it would be nice as we have stayed at several Red Roof Inns that have been rededicated and... more

I made a reservation for this renovated Red Roof Inn because I had been very pleased with a renovated Red Roof Inn in New Jersey. The logo they use for the redone rooms is "redesigned/rededicated" and it seems you can trust the logo. I was not disappointed. The room was very clean and cheerful. Good beds, very good plumbing, good... more

This was the cheapest hotel in Gainesville for the date we stayed. That in mind, we didn't expect too much. The rooms were generally clean with no substaintial cleanliness concerns. The bedding was decent but the beds were a little hard. The staff was wonderful. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. We needed a bag for laundry... more

We booked a room online and mentioned we had a dog. We chose Red Roof because it was a half way point from Georgia to Fort Lauderdale and accepted pets. We arrived at midnight...late check in was not a problem. The desk staff was very friendly and that was fine. The hotel is old and that was expected, but the... more

We first stayed at this hotel in August 2004 when we evacuated from Hurricane Charley with our Doberman. At that time we paid $49 a night and had a great continential breakfast each morning. Based on that visit, we were passing through Gainesville on New Year's Eve 2005 and decided to stay there. The desk clerk was very friendly and... more

My husband and I spend a few weeks in Florida this Nov. seeing sites and visiting relatives. Our son lives in Gainesville so we spent several days at the Red Roof. We picked the Red Roof based on other trip advisor reviews and the inexpensive price. Based on the price, we were not expecting any frills. WE were expecting basic... more
