We stayed at the Islander 7008 for 6 nights. Overall we had a great trip. We booked through Brooks and Shorey and everything went smooth from the time of booking the trip until we left. The condo was very nice. It had a great view of the beach and we spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying it.... more

show details 11:46 AM (0 minutes ago) Reply Feedback on unit 703 which we stayed at for a wedding Dec 27 and 28 is not good at all. The unit smells strongly of dogs throughout. The bed had worn out (clean?) bedspread, old sheets and no blanket. There were no amenities at all except bath soap so we had to... more

The trip was excellent! It is great location because it is less that 10 minutes outside of destin. We stayed a week in a studio condo over -looking the beach. We booked our room for under $600. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishes. We booked with resort quest and were able to get a package of passes... more

We absolutely loved the Islander and the staff. They were very helpful and courteous. The unit we stayed in 7006 was excellent and very clean. The view of the beach was wonderful, very close to the beach. Wehad one of the most wonderful times of all the vacations that we have taken. more

We have stayed here in the past and had a good experience. however this time the room we stayed in was not overly clean. The main problem was getting into the room. We were told someone would be on call 24/7 if we had a problem. Our problem was we got there after hours and were given a lockbox code... more

We've stayed at the Islander 3 times--in 2001 as a still newlywed couple, in 2004 with our infant daughter, and in 2007 with our then 3 y/o daughter and infant son.We always book through Brooks-Shorey realtors (www.emeraldcoastrentals.com). We love it, which is why we keep going back. It's not the newest place on the island (although several of the units... more

Hotel is clean and spacious. We initially rented at El matador thru Alicia Hollis Realty. There was however renovations in the pool and the noise/drilling bothered us. Chris thru the realty was helpful and transferred us to The Islander. We got a 2-room gulf view accomodation . Again the condo, itself was very clean, spacious and bright. It had simple... more

We stayed from Jul 10-14th. This is our second time with the first being in 2002. Overall the Islander is a good value. The 2 bedroom condo was clean, well appointed and our 5th floor view was excellent. Check in was very smooth, concise and without problems. Each day we had a round of golf, a kids fishing trip, 2... more

We stayed in a gulfview one bedroom. The condo was nice except the shower doors needed to be replaced. It had two foldout couches for the kids. It had a nice view of the ocean but also a view of the hurricane destroyed resort next door. The Pool area was great. The beach was wide and had the most beautiful... more

Loved the floor plans here. Much larger than most gulf front condos. The pool is just HUGE!!! We got a great deal by renting from owner. Did have problem with one room of residents being loud. But, that could happen anywhere. more
