Fort Walton beach is the quieter area, vs. Destin which is further down the coast. Lots of children around and a kids water park next door at the Ramada hotel. Fort Walton doesn't have many resorts, but this is by far the best one. It's got a great pool, beach chairs for rent, and a lazy river/pool across the walkway... more

Overall, a nice place that offers enough to keep the kids busy. I made the mistake by assuming that the Gulfside Villas actually had a "Gulf view"..the view off of our balcony was the building next door, not what my wife and I had in mine when we made the reservations.. more
