The Veranda 202, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, left alot to be desired. The condo was decorated nicely. But the bedroom fan once turned on about came out of the ceiling. The pool deck was covered in pigeon poop as well as the edge of the pool and in the pool. The elevator was rickety and the fan in the elevator could not be seen because it was covered in nasty hair and whatever else imaginable that could be in a fan. A dirty motel, The Sandman was behind the Veranda and you were afraid to leave valuables in your room. The stairwells were unlit and dirty. Never saw a maintenance man do anything to the pool water for the week that we were there. We were on balcony at 6 a.m. in morning at out late at night. Did not swim in pool. The best thing about this condo was the beach and water. I would advise to check any other condos but this one in the area. The health department was contacted concerning the nasty pool area, as well as the elevator. more
