We stayed in Fort Myers for one night. The motel is basic but clean and colourful with bathroom and kitchen facilties. Look, if you're a college student with three friends, it's perfect for you. You are paying only for location...otherwise, its a dump. The sign at the check-in says it all, most likely from management's experience: "no refunds for unused nights." Look around before you stay here...the vacation you save, could be your own. We spent several days at the facility. It is located in the middle of the main beach downtown area yet the atmosphere is quiet and laid back. The staff was courteous and customer service oriented. We'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys relaxing vacations. more

I highly recommend the Shipwreck Motel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean and cheery. This motel has the perfect location. It is only a short walk to the beach and restaurants. What a nice suprise to find a canal in the back with dockage. more
