We just spent a week at Smuggler's Cove and enjoyed it very much. I have read negative comments on this website; however, we encountered nothing negative and enjoyed our stay there very much. Each condo is individually owned so I am sure that not all of the condos are equal. Our's was very modern, well maintained, and quite comfortable with... More

The condo we booked was open the whole summer. I had a double mastectomy of January if this year. One week before our travel I got 25 bleeding ulcers on my breasts. Saw 6 doctors who had never seen nor heard of this before. Had doctor statements stating it was dangerous for me to travel. Called and asked mgr if... More

Awful experience! Rude office staff! Overpriced for the luxury of filth, fruit flies, mold on refrigerator, unsafe electrical, (maintenance employee kept saying there was nothing he could do, the owner is responsible) we thought maybe the well being of all renters would be of concern! Coffee pot was so rusted it was unsafe and not usable. Plumbing fixtures in tub... More

My husband and I (and sometimes our son) have been going to Smugglers Cove for about eight years now. We absolutely love it there and probably would not rent elsewhere unless forced to. Every unit is different and some are a little dated, but most have been updated. (In particular 5B1 and 4B4 are gorgeously decorated). My only complaint is... More

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday. It is a nice older condo in Fort Myers Beach. It is not far from the Times Square area. The beach is beautiful and we walked on it every morning! The check in process went smoothly. The room we had was very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen. I do... More

Totally enjoyed Smugglers Cove for two weeks mid-November. Weather was perfect - especially compared to reports from New England. All units have screened lanais facing the Gulf. We estimate the water's edge is ~ 150 ft. from the building so we enjoyed the sound of the surf, watched pelicans plunge, watched dolphins play. Our unit had two BR and two... More

Stayed at Smugglers Cove. 6th floor with beautiful views. Room really well kept with lots of extras like USB plugs, extra hooks, anything you need to cook with, beach toys, etc. Really nice for our family of 4.

We chose SC because relatives had their annual trip planned (and had stayed there the past 5 years), and were pleased with the 6A5 unit we booked, with a king bed and shower in the master, 2 twins (with a full bath just outside the door and a door separating the living area from this bedroom area), dated but serviceable... For our first trip to FMB (just after peak spring season), we found Smuggler's cove to be an older, well maintained, very reasonably priced location for a week's stay. Condos of course are individually owned, so there is variability in appointments--check with the web site first to make sure a given condo has what you want. Smuggler's Cove has a... More

My family of 4 stayed in Unit 3A2 in Smugglers Cove Condos. The kitchen has been updated and was well equipped with pretty much any pot, pan or appliance anyone might need. Furnishings throughout the unit were fine, but maybe a bit dated in the bedrooms, not that this was an issue. The main bathroom shower has been updated but... More
