Visited FMB in the 3rd week of Feb. I wanted to stay on the beach, but I couldn't find ANYTHING available. I found his hotel avail for $199 a night. We were able to book, but with a govt discount, we got it down to $120 a night. Couldn't beat the rate for the time of the year. I thought... More

The rooms at this hotel are not worth the rates, we paid 239. You would think that this was a 99 dollar special with the way our room was. As soon as we walked in, it smelled of mold, the bathroom shower had hair in it, the water pressure in the shower was horrible, and the TV did not work.... More

2 yrs ago we paid under $80/night. Good value for location and great pool so we could overlook cramped room, bad bath (old & terrible water temp in shower), free but blah breakfast (bad coffee). This year rate was 300% higher but NOT ONE IMPROVEMENT WAS MADE. Also worse: housekeeping, wifi. They don't seem to be reinvesting in their property... More

loved the large heated pool but the hotel needs updates for the prices they want to charge. front desk personnel were very friendly and did a great job checking us in. Rarely were there pool towels available when needed. Housekeepers went through the rooms very quickly. Even if carpet dirty they didn't vacuum.

Want coffee? Better show up for breakfast between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., because there's none to be found at other times. Want breakfast? Go to a diner, because you'll be very dissatisfied with the one you'll find here. Sure it's complimentary, but it gets no compliments. A vast selection of breakfast cereals if vast is bran flakes or Froot... More

This has to be the lowest I have rated a hotel , or restaurant since posting on Trip Advisor the past 3-4 years. We have been very fortunate to travel by auto to every state, including Alaska the past few years, and have had many experiences with many of the national chains of hotels, including Mom and Pop Hotels. In... More

We were very disappointed in the motel! The room was too small and the beds were too used and the bathroom door would not close. The price we paid ($200) was way too high for what we received. Noise came into the room from each side, the back, above, and outside. We will not be staying in any LaQ inn... More

We had a bad Laquinta experience in Gainsville 3 or 4 years ago, and were not so happy to be staying here, however, the place was okay. The room was clean and not uncomfortable, but there was a bit more outside noise in the room than we like. The weather was a bit cool when we stayed, especially at night,... More

First, the good. This hotel's location is fantastic. We were here for a trip to Sanibel Island, but since hotels on the island were extraordinarily expensive, we chose to save a bit of money and stay at this La Quinta. We were going to be spending all our time on the beaches and in the sun anyway, so did we... More

We chose this hotel because it was close to Sanibel Island. One nice feature is that there was a public beach literally a 1/2 mile down the road from this property. The heated olympic sized pool was wonderful! When we booked this hotel, we were told there was a shuttle from the airport, which we found out at 9pm that... More
