Rock Lake is a Wonderfully Nostalgic 1947, Clean..Quiet.. Beautiful Motor Court of Days Gone By! (Our Stay was Very Relaxing) The Staff Was Very Helpful, The Grounds Were Clean and Refreshing. It Was Hard To Believe We Were in Downtown Ft Myers. It Was Like We Had Stepped Back In A( Quieter Time and Space) I Wished I Would Have... More

We stayed here and found that it was a great value the mother of you had made it sound a little bit less attractive but it was very clean and the view of the water and the surrounding area is very charming

"Charming" is a great word for Rock Lake, thank you! Speaking of the water, did you get a chance to take the canoe out on the river while you were here? Come back and see us! More

We had a terrific 3-night stay here. Others comments about it being from a charming earlier time are right. We were in a cottage by a pond with fish and fountains--French doors open to give a view of it. Right after we got there a great blue heron that had been wading caught a fish and we got to see... What a treat. We were riding through the town looking for our motel and there stood a small building...nothing out of the ordinary....that is until I walked in and spoke to the manager Heather. Again, what a treat. She assured me my wife, who,was waiting in the car would me delighted. She couldn't have been more correct. We turned into... More

Rock Lake Resort harkens back to an earlier time. Our sixth stay in th last 12 years, and we love it. Kid friendly. Fed fish and turtles, swam in the pool, played tennis and pingpong, canoed out Chief Bowlegs Creek to the river and had real dolphins swimming and surfacing alongside, hiked the nature trail with my five-year-old to see... We travel often and generally find that most of our stays are good, some better than others. However, this place was the most miserable night we have spent anywhere. The mattress was like sleeping on a pillow, way too soft, so we ended up sleeping on the floor. The overhead light glared like you were caught in headlights. The shower... More

We recently spent 5 nights (March, 2014) at RLR. In a year's time if you asked me where we stayed in Ft. Myers I bet I won't remember. Why? Because there's nothing terribly wonderful or disastrous about it. Yes, the sound of the water/dolphins is relaxing. Everyone seems to use/enjoy their patios that surround the little lake, esp. for coffee... More

This travel court style hotel would receive 5+++ if it was closer to beaches and not as close to run down area. Wonderful, caring employees and the hotel was a delightful blast of the past. Beds very comfortable.

We stayed at the Rock Lake Resort (RLR) because of the great reviews and price of the stay. When we got there it looked nothing like the photo, the place is pretty run down and if you are not paying attention you will drive past their little office. We did not rent one of their cottages but instead we renting... More

Been staying here since January from Ohio and the rates are great for high season. I use a wheelchair so I got #16 which is wheelchair friendly. The bath is very large with grab bars in tub and by toilet. Not a roll-in shower if you need that though. Never had any sewer smells. I have enjoyed watching the fish... More
