Recently had the pleasure of finding this quaint resort area in Ft. Myers. Had occasion to be in the area for a couple of nights, and, not knowing what was available, we stumbled upon this lovely resort. We stayed in the lakeside cabins and could not have been any more pleasantly surprised. Renting two rooms, one duplex-type cabin, we had... More

After reading so many excellent reviews I decided on choosing Rock Lake because it seemed like something fun and different. Also we needed a pet friendly place to stay. *NOTE: They charge $10/night PER pet.. this is neglected to be mentioned on their website. The office is on one side of the road and the lake view rooms are on... More

I wanted to get away from the craziness of high season in my city so picked Ft. Myers to escape to-and I'm glad I did! From Rock Lake Resort, where I stayed, to the walking tour and historical museum, the Edison & Ford Estates, the blues at the Cultural Center, the matinee at Florida Rep Theater, Ft. Meyers Beach &... More

We stayed for a week and totally enjoyed our very peaceful time, even though next to the busy road never heard it. Fed the fish every morning from our patio,as we had our morning coffee. Kitchen had everything you need. Small store next door, where we bought our basic food and beverage needs (we did not do any cooking). The staff... More

What a pleasant surprise. We had rented a room for the night and were upgraded to a cabin, located on a pretty man made lake with a spraying fountain in the middle. The cabin had a kitchenette, sitting and bedroom, and bath. There was sliding doors from the bedroom to a patio facing the lake. Very clean and convenient. Sorry... More

Beautiful Lake with fountains, like a throw back to the 50's. Very retro, clean and peaceful, great for a retreat. Good price and close to historic downtown with scads of restaurants, shops and galleries to enjoy! This was our second time and we'll be back! More

Late night, driving alone, no idea where I was, and mapped local hotels. This place had 5 stars so I called to check pricing. Pleasant surprise with the price so I thought I'd check it out. I loved it! Wish I had more time but was just passing through on my way to Homestead for the race. It is such... More

We traveled cross state to attend an Oktoberfest in Cape Coral and decided to stay at the Rock Lake Resort. We drove past it a few years ago and earmarked it as a place we would like to stay at in the future. (We like staying at historic/nostalgic/funky establishments.) This "motor court" has duplex cottages constructed of native stone built... More
