this place has been closed for awhile, they just sold it to a developer that is converting it to a 55 and older condo residence, should be done by fall. The downtown fort Myers area is really improving, new waterfront, restaurants, completely redone, nice and lots of events.

This hotel looks okay in the pictures but they couldn't be farther from the truth. I knew we were in for it when the lobby was full of people who could pass for prostitutes. The elevator and hallways are very dark. The lights that were working were blinking on and off. The hallway on our floor had walls that were... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at-dirty, smelly, and the air conditioning was awful. They allowed us to switch rooms, the next one was better but still a dump. The area is scummy, the service was horrible, and the continental breakfast consisted of stale bread, warm juice, and cold coffee every morning. We stayed 2 nights before we booked a hotel... More

Attracted by the VIEW/Location & Room service & reasonable rates, we actually had a pretty cool room--jr. king suite with living room area and wet bar and the tv was in a room dividr/shelf between bedroom & lvg room and swiveled between rooms to watch. Most staff was kind. Looks like it was a grand place in its hayday, but... More

I had the displeasure of staying at this hotel back in the fall. When I first walked in I was surprised at the aweful smell but realized they were still reeling from some serious hurricane damage and so was willing to overlook, until I went to my room. Outside the door to my room was used condoms thats right folks... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this place for just one night. We are a couple with a special sense of humor. And we really needed that! I had read here about stains and dirt and so on. But we went like "uh, come on, it's just for one night - it won't kill us." To our surprise the carpets... More

This hotel was absolutely the worst place I have stayed in and I was a Marine stationed in Lebanon at one point. I was so disgusted by the smell that I could not sleep in the hotel. I checked out and slept in the rental car. I think the health department needs to check this place out. This cannot, cannot... More

We stayed in the Ramada Inn, downtown Ft. Myers, on Edward St, across from the marina. What a beautuful neighborhood, and a great hotel to stay at! The prices were reasonable, the food good, the view fantastic, and the service and staff were the nicest. The rooms were clean, and a nice size. The 2 pools were clean, and pretty,... More

It is disgusting!!!!! The first room had lipstick on the obviously OLD sheets, then I asked for another room...it had hair on the sheets...the 3rd room smelled so BAD I couldn't walk in to even check the sheets...I went with room #2 which was the least gross one. The wallpaper in the hallways was coming off and was dirty. The... More

This hotel was very badly kept, dirty and staffed by unfriendly people. We had to pay extra because it was an event weekend, I would have rather slept in my car in the parking ramp.
