We checked out the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa just to see what it was like on our way onto Sanibel Island for a 3-night stay at The West Wind Inn. As it turned out, we didn’t even bother with the West Wind Inn and having checked into the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa instead were mighty glad that we... more

The online pictures made the resort look like paradise. It is not. My issues with this resort is that the parking is not close to the resort. You have to take the shuttle that has no air condition and you should hope that it is working. The shuttle broke after we arrived and then the resort was hauling everyone around... more

The hotel is split over several buildings - the main hotel where most of the activity takes place (includes two pools, restaurants, coffee shop, store, piers, hammocks and I assume newer rooms). Then there is the Grande Bay tower where we stayed on the top floor (only has 8 floors) - very quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. It has it's... more

2 bedroom waterfront condo. Could use some renovating, but can't beat the price. Great food, great service. Screened lanai was the perfect place to watch the boats go by. more

My husband and I just returned from the most unbelievable getaway to the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa! We stayed in the Grand Bay building, which I would strongly recommend. The pool at the Grand Bay is peaceful and much less busy than the pool at the main resort. Although there is no poolside service at Grand Bay, every room... more

I stayed here on mother's day on a special rate with my mother who visited us from Europe. I have not seen her for over 3 years and I wanted to make it special. (I don't ususually travel with my mother :)). I liked the hotel so much that I changed our itinery for our anniversary with my wife to... more

Very nice Hotel. Meals and drinks quite expensive.i.e a glass of Pinot grieo $14.95 best to eat out on the Island itself. Staff friendly and helpful. Location good, you will need a car to get out and about, to the beach, shops etc., The toll across to sanibel is $6. We had a lovely room overlooking the harbour and pool.... more

This was our best surprise on a Gulf coast road trip. We had booked this as part of an American Express package and the value for the rate was unbelievable. Our room had a balcony directly overlooking Sanibel Harbor. We'd recommend getting a water view room; you're looking out at green islands, blue water, and spectacular sunsets. This is a... more

I can't say anything bad. The price of the room was great, the restaurants were more than fairly priced, and both my husband and I got a massage and that was great as well. Highly recommend. Right on the bay, the first night we were there we were met by dolphins and manatees less than 50 feet away. And the... more

My husband and I just returned from a week stay May 9 - 16 2009. Everything was perfect. My husband told them I was celebrating my 40th birthday in July and we were going to celebrate early and they had a cake in the room for me. Nice touch. We stayed in a Suite in the Main hotel and the... more
