I really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were clean. Very cute rooms with a mini kitchen. Nice and peaceful. It is family run business. Good price for your money. Great location down the street from the beach. There are BBQ's around the place and tennis courts. I would stay here again. more

Mick was very helpful in every aspect of what we were looking for... Had wonderful pointers and referred us to the best places. He let us know how to access the internet (free) on our laptop.. Once we figured it out, it was good. There is a laundry facility there, but it is open basically the same hours as the... more

I really loved my stay here. I was only in town for one night on business, but somehow feel like I just went on a vacation. The rooms were charming and clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The pool area was a wonderful place to have some coffee, read, and enjoy the morning sun (they did a great... more

Stayed here with Mick and Patty for five nights in an efficiency. Mick is very accommodating and kind. Beach towels and chairs are a plus. Hotel is VERY short walk to the beach. Pool area small but very nice. Grounds are pretty. This is no frills but very clean. Elevator is a little scary - it's the kind with the... more

I don't know where to start. I guess from the very 1st phone call I ever had w/ Mick-he was amazing. I work in the travel industry and the time I was in Fl (last week) was very busy. When I called to make arrangements for my biz partner and myself, so many places were too expensive (spring break/convention time=higher... more

Perhaps this will sound boring for many of you readers but also we really enjoyed our stay in the Tropi Rock. We were on a pre-cruise stay for 3 nights in the Tropi Rock from Jan. 14th till 18th. It was completely as expected. Also we were not looking for a "normal" hotel chain but for something different and we... more

This is a great hotel for those hoping to escape high-rise, yawn hotels. It has a hip, funky decor, friendly staff, and located a short walk from beach (our priority in Ft. Lauderdale). more

My husband and I stayed at the Tropi Rock February 27 until March 2. We loved it! It is a funky, cute, happy place in a sea of cookie cutter hotels! We have stayed at cookie cutter hotels on and off in our travels and places like the Tropi Rock that have a soul. We always enjoy the places with... more

We spent weeks looking for a nice quiet affordable beach hotel where we could go with our almost 1.5 year old, and we are so happy we found Tropi Rock. It is a short walk to the beach, which was the most important thing to us, and also a short walk to restaurants, which was also important since we didn't... more

We loved the Tropi Rock, but, it's probably not for everyone. If you're looking for the usual boring chain, go elsewhere. The place is a little quirky in a good way and definitly has a retro feel. Mick was very, very helpful and really makes you feel at home. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ft. Lauderdale! more
