The lobby was beautiful and Maritxa the clerk that checked us in was very accommodating. We stayed in the family suite which was very nice. The problems we encountered were the door was difficult to open, the cleaning staff was rude, and they only serve breakfast on the weekend. The AC was not controlled by us, the room got hot... More

I am a frequent traveller and have stayed in many hotels in Europe,Asia, and middles. One of the main points for all customer is to receive a good assistance from reception. Unfortunately this is worst in this hotel. Once you call them for a request ,you should not expect your request to be followed up. In one occasion before leaving the... More

My stay at Universal Palms Hotel in FT. Lauderdale Fl was great. Everyone was nice and kind during my 1 week there. Check-in was a breeze thanks to people like Maritxa a front desk attendant there. They were just easy to work with. For example when I asked for an upgrade it was as well as done just like that.... More

Friendly staff and clean rooms. I was impressed after reading several other reviews about the noise. You can hear the train but its not bad and will not awake you from sleep. Marixta was the best, She has the best customer service ever and she is the reason I would come back to this place, Danielle

Universal Palms is a short drive to the beach. The hotel offers standard rooms and suites, a nice pool, and a nice bar with happy hour drink specials. The bartender is very nice and I look forward to my evening drink. Negatives, would be 4 channels in French on TV (unless your french canadian)...and a small gym, but for the... More

I got in late, rather exhausted and miserable. The hotels' "zip code" policy complicated my walk-in check-in....feeling annoyed I started thinking of elsewhere .... Enter OLMIDE & STEVEN, both front desk agents to the rescue! Their approach was just right. The friendly, efficient and knowledgeable manner in which they dealt with me and my situation was very soothing. The room... More

I visited the Universal Palms Hotel from July 17th to July 31st. During this time, I was treated very well by all the staff, especially Maritxa and Jeffrey at the front desk. I shall definitely return. David Carruthers
