This property is cheaper than other places on beach because it is very old. Looks like one of last properties to hold out to selling to bigger and newer hotels. We were stuck in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale by a delayed flight just after Christmas and this was just about the only place that had rooms available for anything approaching a reasonable price. We stayed there for one night and that was enough. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms a joke. The toilet was right next to the wall, you couldnt even sit on it because your leg woudnt fit in between the wall and the toilet seat. So we had the sit side ways on it but still had to watch... More

Last minute plans for NYE so we got stuck with this dive. The location to beach is great just about a half a block away. The room was awful and beyond DIRTY. Just obvious dirt everywhere, hair from past guest on towels just digusting. We checked in late and were not told that the credit card would not be processed... More

After we saw the interior of this property it was clear that the only guests here come because they receive some amazing discount or do not know the competetive alternatives. After the 3rd night staying here and the office manager continuing to tell me they would again try and fix the WiFi they conceded it didn't reach my room! Rooms were small and very tired, glad I had a busy schedule and was only there to sleep.

Sandy Shores is quaint old style motel nestled between behemoth modern hotels what cost the sky. The motel is clean and the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. This property is a typical old Florida 1950s Mom and Pop motel. The Sable Resort owns 4 adjacent properties (Shell, Martindale, Sandy Shores, and Seaside).
