We were stuck in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale by a delayed flight just after Christmas and this was just about the only place that had rooms available for anything approaching a reasonable price. Mind you, we still forked out $200 for what amounted to a room from a timewarp going back to the 70s. The surrounding area was nice enough, but the... More

We stayed there for one night and that was enough. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms a joke. The toilet was right next to the wall, you couldnt even sit on it because your leg woudnt fit in between the wall and the toilet seat. So we had the sit side ways on it but still had to watch... More

Last minute plans for NYE so we got stuck with this dive. The location to beach is great just about a half a block away. The room was awful and beyond DIRTY. Just obvious dirt everywhere, hair from past guest on towels just digusting. We checked in late and were not told that the credit card would not be processed... More

After we saw the interior of this property it was clear that the only guests here come because they receive some amazing discount or do not know the competetive alternatives. This property is old, broken down, dirty, rusty and has matresses that are so old they have sagged in on themselves. The shower stall had been painted over in an... More

After the 3rd night staying here and the office manager continuing to tell me they would again try and fix the WiFi they conceded it didn't reach my room! Rooms were small and very tired, glad I had a busy schedule and was only there to sleep.

Sandy Shores is quaint old style motel nestled between behemoth modern hotels what cost the sky. The motel is clean and the staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. It is only 100 yards from the ocean and for the money they charge it is difficult to get a better place to stay. The only thing I had difficulty with... More

Stayed here for two nights on the way down to the Florida Keys. Everything was almost right but not quite. Two bedroom suite by the beach. Yes, the beach is only a short block away and the hotels location is great for beaching and walking to restaurants. The room had a small kitchen, a small entry room and two small... More

This property is a typical old Florida 1950s Mom and Pop motel. The Sable Resort owns 4 adjacent properties (Shell, Martindale, Sandy Shores, and Seaside). We were looking for a place close to the beach with a pool and kitchen and the Sandy Shore met those criteria however it was a mixed bag. Positives: Location: about 100 yards to the... More

We booked this place based on location and price after reading the reviews. The place is perfectly located and off the main street of traffic. Yes, it is old and could use some modernizing. The room was clean and had the basic necessities. The pool area was nice-however, with the high rise condos on two sides-the amouont of sun is... More
