Just a block in from Fort Lauderdale Beach, the Royal Palms is a great little spot for LGBT travelers. The rooms are clean and spacious and are attractively decorated in a contemporary style. Rooms are well appointed and have great bathrooms and other amenities. Free wifi is available throughout the property. A real plus is the availability of an on-site... More

I stayed here 8/7-12. We had stayed at the Flamingo for years and I was a bit skeptical. I was in Florida on family business and while I wanted a gay hotel I did not want a party hotel. They gave me a room in the rear and I didn't even know other people were around. That said, because I... More

This hotel is the #1 hotel for the discerning gay traveler in Ft. Lauderdale. Spent 10 days at the hotel in August and would have stayed longer if I could. The presence of a bar gives the hotel and automatic gathering spot for meeting other men. Sunday's T-Dance is a highlight as many locals come by to add to the... More

This was our first visit to the Royal Palms. I was so impressed with the newly renovated property. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the staff was so friendly. I would highly recommend it to my friends, it was a great value.

My bf and I stayed at the Royal Palms for a long weekend...we had such a great time that we extended our trip by day. The retro feel of the hotel and the grounds are a nice contrast to the modern feel of the rooms. The front desk is incredibly attentive...hopefully you get a chance to meet GM Philip. Whether... This resort was great for the price I paid. They have a great setup in regards to the pools. The front pool has the bar/restaurant with music playing and the rear pool is quiet with less to little of a crowd (my group had the entire rear pool to ourselves most of the time). The food was good and very... More

This was my very first gay resort and I absolutely loved it! I'm a "straight" guy that generally doesn't like the scene at all...but I will return! The staff was soo friendly, so accommodating and always smiling! The food was definitely way better than I expected and the hot bartenders definitely made some great drinks! My friend and I had... Needed to do a little get away with partner, and decided to try the Royal Palms Resort & Spa. We were both impressed. The room was very very nice and stylish, with nice bathroom and comfortable bed. We were given a room right off one of the pools so it was convenient for a midnight swim and early morning wake... More

I live here in Fort Lauderdale but I have had many friends stay here over the years. Phillip Lafond and his staff always make you feel welcome and catered too whether you stay there or stop by for lunch or a drink. I recently stayed there on a "staycation" to be at the beach in my town when friends were... More

Located just two blocks from the beach, & just a few more from the beach "where the boys are"...from the room to the pool to the bar to all the staff, this is a great resort to stay at. Contemporary style, two pools (one for relaxing, and one for splashin' around) with guests & visitors to the resort, great breakfast... More

What's so amazing about The Royal Palms Resort & Spa and why reviews are so overwhelmingly positive is that we're a truly unique boutique hotel - an all-welcoming, hetero-friendly, gay male resort! Nestled in the heart of Fort Lauderdale beach's breezy, seaside North Beach Village, Royal Palms is a sleek, revitalized 50-room, two-building resort. Our celebrated, round-the-clock concierge-like services will impress you along with our luxurious amenities, full-service day spa, state-of-the-art fitness center and our popular bar & grill that serves scrumptious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Whether you take a long swim in one of our two heated turquoise pools or just sunbathe in our sunny courtyards, you and your friends will relish Royal Palm's sensual, tropical atmosphere. And if you should ever desire to leave our luscious and intimate oasis you'll find we're nearby to everything fabulous! With just a 4-minute stroll to miles of world-class sandy beaches, watersports, restaurants, entertainment and nightlife - we make it all too easy to relax and laugh. We offer complimentary Wi-Fi, convenient parking onsite and supersized, gay smiles! Best of all - each ultraclean room has a modern European style with a sexy twist and beachy colors. Every room has a 42" flat screen TV, an I-pod Docking Station and are luxuriously appointed with the finest linens and comfy bath towels. All bathrooms feature tranquil rain-showers and natural pebble stone floors to massage your feet. We offer five room types and all are bigger than average - Supreme-King, Deluxe-King, Standard-King, Double-Queen and Mini-Queen. Book a Supreme-King today - at 368 square feet this supremely popular room is spacious, conveniently located near all the action and features a changing alcove. You'll also adore our Deluxe-King with 295 square feet to play around in - like kings on a gay holiday! Royal Palms Standard-King often gets booked up with 291 square feet and located in a more secluded setting. Naturally, our Double-Queen fills a lot of the needs bigger parties may require and at 287 square feet this private room is airy enough for some groovy dancing. If you'd like a room a bit cozier - be our guest and stay in our Mini-Queen which is anything but miniature at 220 square feet. The Royal Palms Resort & Spa. ... more   less
