Wonderfully updated 50s style complex, sparkling clean with great service. A longish walk to downtown Ft. L, but along the beach for about half of it. Buy drinks and snacks while you're in town, as on-site availability is limited. It's fun to see a human-scale project like this instead of the massive scrape-off high rises common to the area.

Long story, short -- you can't beat the price for the superb customer service, proximity to the beach, and the spacious suites! Though it's nothing fancy, Tranquilo is a GREAT value. When plumbing problems arose in our home, we were forced to find a hotel at the very last minute. There we were, at 11:00 pm, searching for a place... More

The hotel is very good. Staff is nice and very helpful. It's 4mn from the beach. There are 3 nice swimming pools. Well furnished kitchenette. Rooms are big and nice. The hotel is clean and quite ("tranquilo"). I highly recommend this hotel.

My partner and I found ourselves on a little road trip after extending our stay to the US. Initially we were visiting the US for work purposes but decided to stay a while longer. This was by far the best value for money based on the accomodation. From the outside the Tranquilo reminds you of a motel, all rooms open... More

We were in town on business, but added two extra days to just kick back and chill on the beach. We were looking for laid back, low stress, and easy. We found it at Tranquilo. If you are looking for a perfect place to drop out this is it. The full kitchen made mornings low stress, although we were a... More

I live in SC and my friends and I go down to Florida whenever we need a break from our routines back home. My friends had a room at Tranquilo this past weekend, so we spent most of our time on the beach and hanging out by the pool. I'd heard about it before, but it was my first time... More

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Gee (sp?) was very helpful and nice. The room was clean, bright and airy. The pool(s) and grounds were very well kept. Easy, short walk to the beach, shopping and dining. Will definitely stay again, glad we found this hidden gem!

I needed a place for a weekend get away and thought I'd try something different (I usually stay at the Hampton Inn or something similar). This was rated pretty high on TripAdvisor so I have it a try. Not a bad price, decent location but a little walk to the best parts of the beach. Parking was tight. We checked... More

We stayed at Tranquilo at two occasions in February and March 2014. At our first arrival we had some trouble at check in, as we received a smaller room than reserved. This was probably due to an error made when we changed the dates for our stay. Though this was all sorted out by the helpful personnel in the reception.... More
