One of the worse properties I have ever booked. Pictures on some websites are misleading. Poorly maintained property which should be an embarrassment to its owners. more

love it.

every year our team travels to ftl for nationals and for the past fifteen years we have stayed at the martindale. it is quaint and cute. it is right by the water and a short walk to the strip and great restaurants. though it is old, the spaciousness of the rooms and the freedom of it is nice. we've never... more

Our room was very small. The "King" bed we were supposed to have was 2 singles pushed together. My wife and I basically had to share 1 side of this bed or sleep on total opposite sides (not my idea of a vacation). We had to unplug either the mini fridge or the air conditioner to plug in the microwave... more

We booked at Martindale at the Beach but were given a room at one of their associated hotels, The Shell ,next door, a very nice corner front unit facing the ocean. . Our flight was late and we did not arrive until after midnight but staff had made arrangements for us to locate a key and it was not a... more

i've stayed there so many times i could easily work there. have stayed around ten times since summer '97, for as few as two days and as long as two months, and have recommended it to all my friends who travel to FL. the front desk folk treat you like family, leaving keys for you if you check in after... more

Well the Martindale has seen better days. It is sad that the wrecking ball has hit every small art deco hotel in Fort Lauderdale. There is construction on all sides. We stayed at the Martindale in Feb 2006. Unfortunately for us, we picked the wrong weekend to go away since the blizzard of 2006 hit on the Sunday we were... more

My fiance and I booked the Martindale 18 months ago when we were first engaged as the hotel for all of our out of town guests to stay at on our wedding weekend. We are from Boston- and 95% of our guests were from out of town. We had over 40 people staying at the hotel and the other properties... more

Before our stay in Fort Lauderdale, our group researched many hotels along the main strip. Once, we arrived at the hotel we were greeted welcomingly. The hotel is perfectly nesteled about two hotels back from the beac. The indoor garden and pool add to the old style charm of the hotel. The tropical garden deflected all of the noise from... more

I have been going to the Martindale for an event weekend for the last ten years. I look forward to itevery year. It is an old Fort Lauderdale style Hotel. Very nice garden, and a pool with a small put-put golf course next to it. There is a nice grill in the garden to cook on. It is small, gated,... more

Nice place and its very close to the beach. Rooms are older and well used, but kept clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The garden in the court yard is beautiful. The pool is small but clean and perfect for a dip. The location is perfect close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Deffinetly a 70's style building. Don't... more
