We stayed at the Renaissance before a convention cruise. We arrived at the hotel after a challenging day flying after 5 p.m. and was immediately greeted by the valet. He took our bags and walked us to the counter, where we were told our room wasn't ready. There were many of our convention friends around so after talking for about... More

This was place was booked for one night earlier this month for a next day cruise from the cruise terminal across the street. I picked it as other family members in my group were staying there and recommended it. There's nothing really horrible about this hotel for a 1 night stay but with a brand name of Renaissance, I expected... More

I just spent five days while on business in Ft Laurdale at this hotel...my experience could not have been better. I booked a four star las Olas hotel on Hotwire @ $66.00 and received the Renaissance Cruise Port Hotel. Brand New Rooms...Very Clean...I was on the 10th floor with view of the beach and intercostal. Rating this hotel isn't easy as I seem to have mixed impressions about it. Arriving at the hotel, I was impressed at the entrance and the reception area and felt confident that my room would be of a similar quality. Getting to the room, I found that while the room was quite nice and clean, the bathroom definitely needed revamping... More

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent experience with our hotel. I do apologize for the issue with the insect in your room – unfortunately, these are native insects of Florida and during the summer months, their presence is a bit more frequent. Either way, I am sure that was unsettling and am sorry you had to experience this.... More

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever been to. First off, let's start with a nice $25 fee for self parking, a night. Then you get to the room. The room is decent sized, but the bed is not comfortable at all, with fluffy pillows that nobody could sleep in. Wanna use the mini-fridge? Nope! because for some... More

I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel on two separate occasions in the last two weeks: one night prior to a cruise in the middle of July, and just this past weekend for two nights while on business. I'll comment on both stays in this review. Location: Excellent. Less than 10 minutes away from the airport, and even... More

We stay almost exclusively at the Renaissance when we travel through Fort Lauderdale. It is located near Port Everglades, the Fort Lauderdale cruise port. It is a short, inexpensive taxi or shuttle drive away. Even though it is on a busy street, there are numerous restaurants, grocery stores, drugstores and shops all within safe walking distance. Also located through the... More

First time in Ft. Lauderdale for us. As soon as we arrived the staff was very courteous and gave us tips on places to eat and enjoy ourselves for the night for our anniversary. On our return from our night out, we were surprised with wine & strawberries from the staff member with a personal note wishing us well. Our... More

Nice rooms, very quiet - lots of parking spaces - great place for a wedding or other large party - nice casual eating place on the main floor - but the grab and go breakfast was amazing - it was reasonably priced and had cereal and fruit and muffins and great coffee --

I stayed there for business in March for 6 days, very convinient location, very nice staff, very clean hotel. Concierege lounge was very nice, but tends to get busy during peak times. Found all of the staff willing to go the extra mile even though not needed, super proffesional and friendly. Nice hotel to stay and will certainly recomend to... More
