Unfortunately, I do not know where to even begin with this "hotel". Upon arrival, we were greeted by unfriendly staff members at the minuscule front desk. We had asked to stay next to another family we were traveling with prior, and they promised to place our room next to theirs, which did not happen. My wife ordered a drink from... More

Centrally located. Attractive well-appointed rooms some with great views of the ocean/A1A. Walking distance to Galleria and chain restaurants (across the inner channel). Staff and facility appeared unprepared for a full hotel. Phone system acknowledged to be completely overwhelmed; front desk/concierge never picked up. No coffee makers in room, requiring purchase in café @$3 per cup. No microwaves available, even... More

Just returned from a long-weekend in Fort Lauderdale. The Sonesta is an all-around okay hotel. Our King room on the 6th floor did have a beautiful panoramic view and was spacious, but the first night we stayed in a double room which was MUCH smaller and mostly overlooked the street and parking lot, just a slice of ocean. My biggest... More

Pros: Amazing and breathtaking view .Rooms are comfortable ,very clean .Close to some restaurants and stores but not close to main Fort Lauderdale attractions . . Cons: Pool area is small . It is always crowded . In order to go the beach you have to cross a very busy road . Lobby can be very crowded at times Parking... More

Dear labbe7000, many thanks for sharing your comments and the strong ratings. It is always rewarding to hear that you found our rooms comfortable and clean. Yes, our views are indeed breathtaking! Please note that our parking fee is one of the lowest ones on the beach when comparing to other full service hotels. In Fort lauderdale, the main street... More

Stayed here for 2 nights post cruise. Desk staff upon arrival were not very friendly and we were told they were very busy and may be 5:00 check in! Did get in earlier, buy their attitude was lousy. OK room with great ocean vioew...no balcony and no way to open window. WE had a very bad situation with noise/partying first... More

Dear GINEEMS, thanks for sharing your comments. My apologies for your arrival experience. As all other hotels in Fort Lauderdale, Spring Break was in full swing in March and some of our guests celebrated a bit too much. I am glad to hear that John took care of the situation to your satisfaction. More

This is the second time I have stayed here. The hotel is beautiful. We were upgraded to an 10 th floor end suite which turned out to be a spectacular room. Views out to the ocean and up the coast. We will be back.

We booked this hotel based on the good reviews but are left underwhelmed. The check-in was not smooth. They couldn't find my booking from priceline.com The room, although nice was very small and did not have a balcony. Upon arriving the toilet was plugged. (Not sure how the housekeeping could have cleaned the toilet and not discovered this). The location... More

We were upgraded to a corner ocean view room and I would have to say the views were really exceptional. Hotel rooms were decent size and modern. Bed was very comfortable. The pool was small and ftness center was almost non-existent but the friendly staff made up for any shortcomings. All in all we had a great stay there and... More

When purchasing the deluxe ocean view, i got room 1209. I was not expecting to look out my window & see the windows of other guest. I thought I was going to see the ocean. At best I have a partial ocean view. Even with that partial view, the way the room is arranged I have to stand in a... More

Dear Teejay 365, thanks for sharing your comments. Room 1209 is indeed an ocean view room. The architecture of the building follows a curve design, but as your photo confirms, you have direct views on the beautiful beach. I will have our Front Desk team see if there is a possibility to change your room today. More
